We get huge contracts you should get started in Australlia learn the software and you will have a job. I can talk to my Boss if your good on PC and you learn fast you can sleep in anther room of our Office.

It's a fun environment. we have freedom to eat,drink,or go take a break when we want. Everything is Contract. You have 3 house4s to Inspect a day If you finish early or work until 4Pm which is concidered OT you get paid by the jobs. Who cares if you come in late or take the day off?

as long as we get 3 folders to turn into the Goverment we all make money.

I audit for a government home energy program where we take 2-3 hours to go through every aspect of household energy consumption, and how the householders can minimise their consumption at least cost. We talk about how the building, appliances, and behaviour in relation to both impact upon household energy consumption. During my audits I really take the time to explain the principles to people so they understand them for life, wherever they live.

If they then spend $2000 on our recommendations (things like insulation, internal and external window coverings, heating and cooling, solar hot water heating, gap and crack sealing, remote switches, etc), they get a $500 rebate from the local government.

I'm just interested to know what kind of programs are going on in other places.

I am sure not by the time we go inspect the home's they have already applied, but we do all kinds of homes nice ones and ugly ones I don't think it has to do with your income they want everyone to start saving energy rich or poor.

You sound like you already work for us! What you do is something they do in the other department, our area we schedule appointments to see what kind of shape the home is in and if they have proper insulation, and if they have old energy consuming appliances. We also check what we call the Blower door.

Dude you was in a coma or sharing a cave with bin laden? Kim left me two weeks ago I was homeless. My ex Boss is now working for CPS and the Government we rate peoples house's to see if they qualify for free to help save energy.

If they have a refrigerator that says 1993 we buy them a new one. We practically remodel the homes. (we sub the work out) I have been doing more and more each day. Today I was in charge of calling the people and setting up appointments. I make a folder and put a copy of Google map inside then i write their name on a erase board. That is on top of Moving vehicles, making coffee, taking out the trash, answering the phone, coping Pictures on the PC, adding names of new clients on the PC,while I train to do the acul audits.

and on top of that I get a request to download about 7 GBs a day of movies and music. I do all the printing and i set up the Pc's so they can work together as networking.

Plus i live here and watch the place and i also try out my new material they want to be entertained as they work they say the day goes by faster when i joke around or tell them how NASA lied about landing on the moon.

I also make coffee,go get beer,and I load the trucks with the tools. Basically I am the live in Nigra/butler/maid/gopher.

Interesting that you use a blower door. We just advise people to close the whole house up and use incense or similar to find the cracks and gaps and seal them themselves.

Everyday It seems like I do two things.

A: I do something ed up that can get me fired.

B: I show them something they didn't know they could do on the PC and they love me.

Just today I forgot to put one of the do ents in a folder and one of the workers had to come back to the office. But 2 hours later I show the Boss how to re-size 250 photos at one time after he has been spending 45 minutes a day doing them one by one.

The boss told me he had an erection when I turned him on to Re-size Guinness, he said i just saved the company over 10 hours a week at 50 dollars an hour. Then I go and tell some lady we will be at her home on Friday when her house is scheduled for Monday.

I must be driving them nuts over here. I am like a bad porno movie you really don't want to see it but you don't want to throw it away either.

We don't replace anything directly. We educate people on where their energy is going and how they can reduce their consumption in a hundred different ways (insulation, crack sealing, window coverings, etc.). if they spend $2000 on the things we suggest, they get a $500 rebate from the local government.

We certainly don't replace people's a/cs, we encourage them to switch away from a/cs to fans or evaporative coolers (we have a dry climate where I am and they work very well while using very little energy). I actually explain to people how the uptake of a/cs is increasing their electricity bills directly (they use a lot of power) and indirectly (they cause extreme electricity demand peaks on hot day, which means utilities have to build new gas-fired peaking plants, which the consumer pays for through their fast-rising electricity prices).
