Ahh, the good ol' days..
NBA's greatest games on right now. Spurs take 1-0 lead in second round series. Anyone who misses seeing Stevie wearing Bruce Bowen this is a game for you.

This compounded with the fact I was hungover as as I blacked out the night before this game made that one awful morning. I don't think I'll recreate that morning.
Suns fans collectively blocked out the 2007 series. Seeing a solid Spurs win could be a good thing in that regard.
Oh I got this confused with the 2008 game 1. Too bad they were both heart breaking as .
If it makes you feel any better, I got blackout drunk an hour before the 2006 game 7 between Phx and the Lakers because I knew they were going to get blown out, woke up the next morning to look at the boxscore, grumbled, puked, took 4 painkillers for the headache, and went back to sleep.

Yeah, at least you knew it was over. 2008 game 1 was the absolute low point of the whole Suns Spurs thing, the game basically sent the message, "Sorry, but this isn't happening. I remember asking myself after that game "Why does God hate the Suns?".
I also remember feeling just a little bit closer to him that night when I said my prayers.
ahh back when the spurs actually had role players (Bowen, Horry, Barry, Oberto and he who must not be named).
