I miss real Locke being the real man of faith.
new smokey Locke sucks.
Right...I just meant the confident, purpose-driven Jack is back. Agree with everything you said.

new smokey Locke sucks.
ok, just saw the last episode last night.
pretty good, although any episode with Ben is usually pretty good.
I just wonder why Ben didn't make the principal go ahead and write the letter of recommendation too as well as resign.
Anyone else get the feeling like they are trying to make Jacob out to be a Jesus figure?
The only difference being that I don't see them bringing Jacob back to life.....but then again, it wouldn't surprise me none if they did.
Doc Jenson has a theory that Jacob's going to inhabit dead Locke's body. If that happens, I'm done.
hmm. Jacob seems to need Jack......maybe he takes over Jack's body.....who knows.....
sidebar....who does Jack's dead dad work for.......Jacob or Flocke?
FLocke. Claire said in the three year intermediate period after the Oceanic Siz left she associated with her Dad (and Jack's) and her friend, who turned out to be FLocke. I can't imagine an associate of Jacob's hang with FLocke and one of his flunkies.
yeah....I guess it would have to be Flocke because of the sequence of events, especially when Jacks dad told Locke that he needed to die....
maybe Jack is there to save dad and claire from flocke. I dunno.
The religious overtones in this season are so apparent it's rediculous. It started at the beginning of last season with Jacob in white and "Man in Black" obviously in black.
This season whether it's been Flocke chunking a white rock from a balance scale or Sayid being carried out of the water with his arms outstretched to the side...yeah it's been pretty in-your-face.
I would actually be shocked if Jacob didn't somehow take over someone's body and come back to life.
You mean that Locke is going to have some kind of Me, Myself and Irene craziness going on?
Yeah, don't like that one bit.
Michael Emerson should get nominated for the last season of Lost especially for this past episode. I think the flash sideways in the episode was in a weird way redemption for Ben. He did the right thing by not going through with black mailing the principal. I still want real Locke back.
So Richard's long life is a result of being "touched" by Jacob. And he was most likely a prisoner/slave on the Black Rock based on his dialogue in this episode, and Flocke's comment about not recognizing him out of his chains, or something like that.
Yeah, we need a Richard episode.![]()
Locke is dead and buried. Say a prayer for him and move on. As Ben said "dead is dead". Smokie can apparently raise these avatars of the unburied dead like Locke or Christian, but they're not the person, just a cheap darker copy.
So wouldn't Jacob be able to raise them as well? There is a resurrection theory out there.
didn't Jacob already resurrect Locke when he had his accident?
Maybe. I just hope exstatic's right. As much as I like the guy, Terry O'Quinn's got his ing plate full. There is no need for him to play essentially three characters.
I agree. I didn't like Locke. He was always wrong and got manipulated easily by others. He was weak.
O'quinn is a good actor though.
I didn't catch that last part, but it definitely makes sense. Agree on a Richard episode.
Another theory... Jacob inhabits Locke's body and returns to the real world, having found an appropriate replacement on the island (or not, if the island is destroyed). So Locke's FS episode was actually Jacob inhabiting Locke. It was very Jacob-like the way he told Jack his father was not lost, and how he told Ben he should try to become Principal.
why would smokey choose Locke to be the body to be "stuck" in.
eh...doubtful. Locke didn't die for Jacob to inhabit his body and there was really nothing in the Locke centric episode [where he got fired] to suggest that Jacob was controlling him.
Or it's just FLocke after he escapes the island. Thinking about it more, that seems more likely.
so Jacob resurrected Locke........the island gave him his legs back and saved him when Ben shot him......and smokey has taken him over......
everybody wants them some Locke.
Locke was only dead one time: when Ben took an electrical cord to his throat. The healing properties of the island are a known quan y, even semi-miraculous, but like Ben said when talking about this very subject: dead is dead. You don't come back. Smoky has proved he can raise a look-a-like avatar of an unburied body, BUT THAT IS NOT THAT PERSON. Locke wasn't raised by Smokie, he was copied. His corpse remains quite dead. IIRC, he was even starting to get ripe when they buried him.
he didnt just raise Locke's avatar up, he is now inside the avatar.
my question is why did he pick Locke's to inhabit.......
Unburied dead bodies. I think Jacob's "bodyguards" even mentioned it, or was it Richard?
Fake Locke from a corpse on Ajira 316.
Fake Christian from a corpse on Oceanic 815.
