are we going to start callin him capt jax?
Love his active hands and that blocked shot on Baron Davis was stout.
are we going to start callin him capt jax?
He's more like the parrot that sits on Jax shoulder.
Thrown in the deep end, the kid has shown tons of self confidence, he's quick, hustles, ballsy.
that's what she said
Anything so Mason doesn't have to play PG ever again... plus the kid has a knack for the ball...![]()
I like it. Solid 12 minute baller. Can't shoot, but good D, good vision, active hands, good ballhandler, has speed. Has fit in impressively well. How do they find these guys?
2010-2011 Roster
C: Tiago Splitter - Antonio McDyess - Ian Mahinmi
PF: Tim Duncan - Dejuan Blair
SF: Keith Bogans - Richard Jefferson - Malik Hairston
SG: George Hill - Manu Ginobili
PG: Tony Parker - Cedric Jackson
A defensive minded and consistent scoring 1st Unit, and fast-breaking exploding offense in the 2nd Unit. Let's make it happen!
Mason and Bonner suck.
The ? Bonner sucks so bad he can't even make your rotation, and yet Bogans starts at the 3? LOL
It's pretty clear that RJ plays better when he plays heavy minutes next to Ginobili.![]()
What makes you think Bogans is going to be here next year?
I just want to know if you think that's what the roster is going to look like, or just the way you want it to look...because if it's the latter...![]()
Well....in my opinion
Bogans blows donkey dik, Splitter will be a monumental flop in the nba and should stay in Europe, and Jackson is still relatively unknown at this point but has shown promise.
Spurs would be wise to resign Roger Mason to help spark the bench players. Especially considering his value is down right now due to his recent shooting woes where he has been upset about his role/minutes on the team. I'm not against Bonner being resigned but Pop still needs to find and develop a good 7 foot defender (I think Ian can fill this role very well).
lol @ thinking Mason would ever re-sign with the Spurs.
He is after all Pop's "centerpiece", so don't be surprised to see him back for encore appearance.
It's good karma to have a Jackson on the team. We got a couple of rings with a JAX on the team and we need any push we can get.
I think there's a good chance he will if he knows what his role is going to be with the team going forward. He'll resign for another 2year/5m type deal and be worth every penny to come off the bench for 20-25 minutes a game.
That's why I asked him if he wants the roster to look like that. It would make more sense if he believes it might look that way.
he's a natural defender(something very hard to teach). sign him up.
My guess is he thinks he is better and worth more than a 10-15 mpg player. Maybe we can sign and trade him, but that's wishful thinking with the salary cap's going down.
Speedy Jackson
- I like him. Showed flashes of 07 Vaughn level-headedness plus very good individual/pick-roll d, rebounds and drawing fouls.
You can see some of the Mike Brown effect on the kid, and no question getting the thumbs up from brown doesn't hurt pop's decision to continue playing him.
Mason doesn't deserve more than the minimum and I hope it's not from the Spurs
Mason is not re-signing. Why would he?
Jackson has looked good in his first couple of games. If he can continue to defend consistently and make good decisions with the ball then signing him as the third point is basically a no brainer. He is the type of cheap role player the Spurs will continue to seek out for next year's roster.
Was no one else misled by the le?
We need confirmation.
