They play solid basketball, especially on defense. Bogut is playing lights out, but this game today was garbage from both teams.
Milwaukee on the verge on winning again today, which will make them winners of 12 of their last 13 and 18 of their last 22. I think they're legit-- do you?

When they played the jazz down to the wire the other day.. I thought they looked like the best defensive team in the league...Damn frustrating!
Jerry Stackhouse with 20.
Quick, Mavs fans, talk some about him!
But that's the point behind a defense first philosophy-- even when you play like garbage, you still have a chance to win. Unlike teams like Phoenix, Golden State, etc., which absolutely need shots to drop at a certain percentage in order to win.
The Bucks could win a playoff series or two. No way they get by Cleveland though.
Two playoff series' is a stretch..
They can beat Atlanta or Boston in a playoff series, but I wouldn't have them as favorites over either team..
It'll be interesting to see if the Bucks have peaked too early though..
yeah if i were boston i would be afraid to match up with milwaukee. they might be able to beat them.
Milwaukee would destroy Boston, not sure about Atlanta.
Sons, the nets can probably beat boston in a playoff series the way they're playing these days lmao...Orl might have the easiest path to the ECF if they play the hawks in the second round..They own that team & are playing great ball right now.
they will get past the first round. book it. jennigs might not be able to shoot but damn he can run a team
No way this thread would've happened just one month ago.
looking at the standings, the east is gonna have boring first round matchups.
Only compe ive one will be BOS-MIL. I'm definitely rooting for the Bucks to go far in the playoffs.
Bogut should be DPOY. Very good man to man in the post, blocks the 2nd most shots in the league and draws the 2nd most charges in the league. (I think Nick Collison is 1st)
They are a real joy to watch since acquiring Salmons.
Guys, dont get too carried away. The Bucks will not beat the Celtics in the playoffs. Experience and HCA are huge in the postseason.
The Bulls nearly beat the Celtics last year. Anything can happen.
I don't know. They have been up-and-down this season. Carlos Delfino, man. I wish he played like that for the Pistons. John Hammond has done a fine job. Remember, they are doing this without Michael Redd.
Redd is a cancer, they wouldn't be the same with him in the lineup and taking too many shots IMO..
a boston vs milwaukee PO series would be great. bogut vs garnett/perkins is a blood feud just waiting to happen. I'd still give the edge to boston, though i'd rather see the bucks take it.
To be fair he wasn't given much of a chance in Detroit, no bench player was given a lot of minutes behind your "big 5" starting line-up.
I've watched a lot of Bucks this year for Bogut, and they have recently learned how to win tight games at the end (which they weren't doing a month ago). Bogut is the in real deal at both ends, particularly defensively (but I've posted plenty about that already, and MI21 summarises it beautifully above), Delfino finally looks like the player he was always going to be, Salmons fits like a glove, Jennings is learning restraint, and Ilyasova fills the holes better than you think. Their bench is deceptively good with guys like Mbah a Moute, Thomas and Ridnour, who can hold their own.
I think they will be great to watch in the playoffs, and Squad 6 is a big advantage for them at home. They might get lucky and win a series, but I don't see them going any further than the semis this year. Add the right slashing wing scorer, or even another nice big, and they could be a contender.
Oh, and they are much better off without Redd. He's pretty much done at this stage anyway. His legs are gone, poor guy. I doubt he'll play for them again. He's an 18mil expiring next year.
It's more of a joke really but it seems like when a team acquires Salmons, he instantly makes them better.
Example: The Bulls went from pretenders before acquiring Salmons. When they got Salmons, they made it to the playoffs and actually made some noise.
Now since the Bucks got Salmons, they look like an elite team.
Bucks for sure is my surprise team of the year. I thought losing , Sessions, Redd( for most of the year), and Charlie would make them a 15 win team.
True. But I think a year in Europe really helped him. He wasn't tearing up Toronto, either.
I'm rooting for them. Hard nosed team that loves playing D. Ain't get no better than that![]()
