Always knew he could ball :P
Forget Yao, let's use this year's lotto pick on Greg Monroe
Always knew he could ball :P

Man, I didn't know a team with a winning record could be labeled as a bad team.
23-11 tonight against the Nugs.

The Scola disaster is going to echo down through the ages. Wishful thinking to think it's ever going away, or that people aren't going to want to talk about it for a long time coming.
Worst move by the Spurs FO ever. Definitely cost us a ring or two.
I have to agree.
Duncan and Scola would have tore up with Manu and TP.
There was a lot of excitement about how perfect a fit Scola would be before the trade went down, to say the least.
I'll never understand why we didn't invest at our peak but rather waited until we were on the downward slope to splash out on a eastern conference creampuff like RJ.
One could always play the 20-20 hindsight card, but I think a lot of fans could see this coming. Hard to believe "professionals" who have been around the game their entire lives and who get paid big bucks to think about basketball 24/7 could be so dumb.
That's life, as the chairman used to say.
Actually it was weird that the Spurs dumped him for Cap relief...only.....
Personally, I think they should have kept VSpan, he can play too...but pure cap relief....yikes.

It was the price to pay to get rid of the Jackie Butler contract... which we acquired when we got Nazr Mohammed from NY and ended up helping us win a 'ship...
Somehow I don't think the Rockets were interested in acquiring Bonner and Butler for VSpan and cash...
