FF13 makes you realize how open ended a game like DA:O is. I wish my 360 disk drive wasn't broken.

, I haven't played FF13, but the way you make it sound, it must really make you appreciate Bethesda.

FYI, if your playing DAO on the PC and get an error when trying to install Awakening expansion, set the compatibility mode of the setup.exe to run windows 2000.

Besthesda has no comparisons in the RPG market as of today. They're not incredible storytellers but the depth of their worlds is a story of itself.

Combat in Oblivion and FO3 is underrated, too. There's few games with the depth of spells/abilities, items, weaponry, etc while having such an easy to use interface.

I don't mean to call BioWare or others bad by any stretch of the imagination, but the depth of their games is just not there compared with even Elder Scrolls 3, which is nearly a decade old.

Playing Awakening now, looks good so far.

I think there's supposed to be another full expansion after this, I say bring it on. Good stuff from Bioware yet again. I love this game!

Anyone here finish it yet? I'm probably a good five hours in and don't think I'm close to finishing it at all. Bioware says it's as long as a full game, but not as long as Origins.

The party mechanics seem a little different. You have to raise their influence for them to have any conversations with you. And so far all my choices in Origins have almost no impact so far, which is a little disapointing. I've run into Wynn though, and since she can die in Origins, I guess that's something.

Supposedly Awakening is about 20 hours worth of playtime.
