today is the day!

today i start sparing at my boxing gym. holy i am excited and nervous at the same time but i gotta do what i gotta do!

so for whatever reason yesterday didn't pan out... my coach said tomorrow, thursday, i will for sure be starting day 1 of sparring. i'll keep yall updated!

Stan dosen't even know who to ski, and he has to get ready for the race in a few days; that's why they did a "montage" (referring to the Rocky movies, when you see him training for a big fight - weeks condensed into 2 minutes) with the song " you need a montage "

Man, you really need a montage

so i'm doing better in the ring as my second sparring session ended a couple hours earlier... but damn me for ever thinking i could compete vs anyone after only 6 months from square 1, granted my foot kept me out for some time but damn this sport is serious business!

i'll post some more soon like photos and videos. later people! so damn tired and ready to hit the sack.

so i finally heard ringing in my ears for the first time yesterday in sparring... was crazy!

was playing defense vs this kid, looked at my coach and as he was calling the round to an end i dropped my guard and was about to head out of the ring, that is before a hard right hook hit me in my head. i literally heard BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNGGGGG! and for a while too but like a minute later or so i was ready for more but my coach told me to take my gear off anyhow and get to the jump rope.

if you've never been hit that hard or never heard ringing in your ears it's a crazy thing to experience.
