Longley's ability to shoot really helped stretch defenses, and open the middle up a LOT more for guys like Jordan. people talk about how the bulls never had a post player, but IMO just getting high percentage points in the paint is what matters most, whether its by having a guy posting up, or by having someone slashing inside for easy buckets. he was a great fit at center for that team.

His passing game was also good, especially when Jordan was making a backdoor cut.
