Both have played two games each with a decent amount of minutes. Pop is definitly getting a decent look at both. With how Pop is rotating right now, who knows what can happen. I usually am high on defense, but it seems like Spurs can have their offensive droughts when it matters (magic game, three starters). Maybe a little energy and skill on offense would help at times.

Cjack brings energy, good ball handles, ok playmaking abilities, great/aggressive defense. I like how active he is on defense and seems to have a nice sense of rotation and ability to stay with his man. Definitely superior on d than Temple.

Temple brings a better offensive game. His stroke looks better even though he didn't hit a good percentage of his jump shots, possible jitters being new. I like his hard nose drives and he got a couple and-1's. He is definitely not intimidated to drive. His passing and awareness on offense is a better than Cjack. I liked his movement on defense but he was having trouble with staying on Watson and Ellis. Both are quick so I don't put too much on this. He doesn't seem to have a defensive naturally ability like Cjack.

Small sample size but that what happens with 10 day contracts. It's a tough one, because we only have one true point guard, TP. Hill has become a better PG than most of us thought he would. Manu can take the duties. But right now, I don't feel we have anyone quick enough to stay with some PG's and Hill is susceptible to have a drought as we just saw. A PG with playmaking abilities would be nice in case that happens again. Also, a PG quick enough to stay with his man and harass him would be ideal.

    Who do you like?

It is a tough choice for sure. I would probably take Temple. He looks longer than Jackson.

Doesn't matter as CJax is already gone, he was not resigned after his first 10 day contract.

IS it just me or does Temple have one of the worst passing mechanics I have ever seen.

Other then that he does show some good things.

I think both will get invites to summer league. Neither would play meaningful minutes in the upcoming games, unless it is a blow out.
Kind of a toss up for preference. I like CJack's aggressiveness, speed and defense better than Temple. I like Temple's size and manner. He seemed pretty calm, but maybe the more aggressive player is the one the Spurs are needing.
One thing I can tell from this small sample is that Temple's shot is much better than CJack's.

The 13th spot is likely to be a series of 10 day auditions.

Is Temple really considered a PG? Was this his natural position that he played in the D-League?

Temple has a game that reminds me of the Iceman a bit. He's got the finger roll and a similar jump shot form.

Temple just isn't a point guard, he is more of a 2.

I thought that too. However, I see Pop has given him PG duties.

At least it's not at center... or is it?

I'm still waiting for the day Pop actually plays players at their natural positions.

TD- plays PF yet is a center (more about what Tim likes to be called though).
Finely- PF/C (thankfully this is now an afterthought)
    RJ- PF/C (no comment)
Bogans- PF/C (well he is called the centerpiece lol)
    Mason- PG/PF (fail on both)
Bonner PF/C (He is really a tall SF on the edge of PF yet he playes Center most times.)

I was surprised CJack didn't get another opportunity to play after showing an INSPIRED effort in his brief time with the Spurs. I don't like what I've seen from Temple enough to let a guy like Temple go if we need another player to fill the roster spot. I'd rather have CJack's energy than Temple's ty lay ups.

Let this be a notice to all, Pop wouldn't give a about ANY new guys or playing rookie/sop res much in the playoffs. It explains why Bonner and Blair have been out on the floor recently, Blair will be absent from most of the playoffs just as CJack or Temple would be.

Wasn't Temple supposed to be a stopper? I didn't see that last night but small sample size. I'd prefer CJax to be on the team because he seemed to have true PG instincts which is something severely lacking on this team. Against a normal team Temple as PG would be exposed much worse than Cjax in my opinion. I think Temple as a PG is a stupid idea. I've read he's been put in that spot before but I don't see him to have any PG skills. If he does have defensive skills I could understand why he got chosen over CJax.

I thought Pop said he made a mistake of not playing Hill in the PO's last year?

Unless this is a completely different situation which it shouldn't be.

Temple: Spurs Will Sign Me For Rest Of Season
    KRGV.com

Garrett Temple has told the Vipers' coaches that the Spurs will be signing him to a contract for the remainder of the season.

This comes after Temple scored nine points in 20 minutes of action last night against Golden State.

When Temple is officially signed by the Spurs, the Vipers will move to the top of the NBA D-League waiver pool.

I like the idea of finding a stopper. I'm curious how Pop handles this.

I think CJax would have helped more in the short term but with Mason leaving they need to start looking for another guard.
