I'm not a huge Overboard fan. I was kid when I saw that movie, but the fact that they're remaking it is what gets me and the fact that they pick one of the worse actressed to do it is just salt on the wound.

Jennifer Lopez is coming back to the silver screen with a plate full of romantic comedies. First up, it’s The Back-up Plan set for release late next month, then she’s off to remake the 1987 cult classic Overboard, which starred Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. Why you ask? No one knows.
Garry Marshall was the man behind the original film that centered on a rich woman who falls off her yacht and is taken to the hospital by a local carpenter. When she wakes up with amnesia, he convinces her that she is his wife and the mother of his small army of boys. From that point on we watch as she tries to adapt to her new lifestyle, while slowly falling in love with her “captor.”
The only thing more unpleasant than a remake is a romantic comedy remake — nothing against the actors — but the genre is no longer going down the drain, it’s been in the drain for some time now (someone please unclog it). But I suppose that if a remake must be done, America could use another film about a clumsy, annoying woman forced to fall in love with a handsome nobody (sarcasm).

The Back-up Plan (2010)
After years of dating, Zoe (Jennifer Lopez) has decided waiting for the right one is taking too long. Growing up having to deal with such a humongous ass, Zoe has become immuned to the insults and ridicule she's endured over the years.
Determined to become a mother, she commits to a plan, makes an appointment and decides to go it alone. On the day of her ass reduction she encounters a man with real possibilities.
Trying to nurture a budding relationship and hide her enormous ass becomes a comedy of errors for Zoe and creates confusing signals for Stan. When Zoe nervously reveals the reason for her ass reduction, Stan commits fully and says hes in.
Granted, that's some ed up right there. I can't, nor do I want to, imagine all the kinky he talked her into doing under the premise that she was into it before her amnesia. Could be a great porno with the right script.
This is bound to fail, especially with J-Low because such a crazy concept wouldn't work in this day and age. The same way Taxi Driver can never be remade, Overboard is not to be touched!
J-Ho might be the worse actress of all time. I have given up on ing about remakes. Its' going to happen over and over and over again.
She should do a remake of Deep Throat.
Actually, I think this would work better if it was Kate Hudson and Matthew Mcconaughey in the lead roles. Fool's Gold was pretty good, if not better, than anything J-Low's done this century (P. Diddy, Ben Afleck, and Mark Anthony combined!).
As long as she has a scene in Hawn's white (?) string bikini bottom, I'll prolly fast-forward my way through the DVD rental.

Was Gigli one of the worst movies? Well YEAH. Every actor/actress have their low points and that was a big one for her but to say she's the worst ever? NOOOOO.
Jessica Alba, except for Sin City, has made alot of bad movies. She needs a new agent.

Cameron Diaz is starting to slip into that "worst actress" area with some the movies she's done lately.
J-Lo is a decent actress (not great actress) with alot on her plate- movies, music, family.
Selena was good. She should have stopped there. I'll even give you that cheap snake movie but everything else freaken sucked! And it was her bad acting that made them suck. LOL@Gigli

Alba doesn't take herself as seriously as J-Low, so her movies are excused (although Idle Hands was awesome).
Kirsten Dunst was in Interview with the Vampire, Jumanji, The Virgin Suicides, and Bring it On...she's got a decent resume, but if all you care about is "BIG mainstream" movies then J-Low is the star for you.
Cameron Diaz is a joke too, but she is slightly better because of her involvement in The Mask, Any Given Sunday, and Vanilla Sky.
J-Low should just stick to fashion and fragrance because she can't act or sing, but her handlers want more money so of course they will encourage her to act and sing because they know stupid people will buy it.
I dont think she's that bad of actress. She was good in Enough and Anaconda.

Apparently it's the same movie, they just altered the script so that the female protagonist is a puerto rican with a freakishly oversized ass
so theyve remade every good and average movie, now get ready for cop and a half 2015 starring Donald Williams
