This team loses their focus so quick it makes me want to ing puke.
dirk always plays so non aggressive against them ever since they kicked our asses. he never really has a bad game against them, but it's only because they don't respect him and let him get his 25-28 points or so. the hornets DON'T respect dirk, especially that got david west, and i think dirk knows it so he plays scared. it pisses me off
ing only 2 freethrow attempts? what the ? ing ridiculous.
Team can't hold a lead for , they always let teams back in the game and it happens so in fast
it's not just the hornets. it's every damn night. get a big lead, give it all up, regain it, give it back up.
and during the season it's gone the same way. they start the season sharp. get bored. trade happens, they get interested again. winning streak is over and they look like there's a million other things they'd rather do than play basketball.

i wouldnt say its a matter of softness anymore. i think consistent focus is their issue. i think carlisle really needs to lay into them soon.

We started this season playing good defense, faded (although in part due to injuries), picked it up after the trade and are regressing to the mediocre defense we had before.
Maybe this team does have a focus issue. But I also think some of these problems are due to the roster.
The Mavs are playing perfectly fine right now. Dirk should continue to play like this against the Hornets. He forgot to do so the last time these two teams played each other.

I thought Haywood, Butler and Stevenson were supposed to fix this. Butler maybe, Stevenson is just a nut and I don't know when Haywood ever became tough
I don't understand how Haywood went from being an all-star to the crap we've seen the last 2 weeks from him. I think it's a coaching issue for sure. The practices confused the heck out of this team. They need to go back to basics. And Dirk's defense has been horrible. Small ball from the Hornets is killing us.
I don't know about an allstar... He was a good player on a ty as team and had a few good games here but he is truly nothing special, see his career

Dallas needs to attack the basket more, either by posting up smaller Hornets like Thornton and Songalia, or driving to the basket.

Marion didn't have a great game tonight, but he has been one of our best players the last few weeks. Hes far from the problem.
