This sux... I was expecting a high score, but Pho to win by double digits.
Simple... Somebody had to make up for the 20.8ppg and 18 FGA per game they lost when the Suns traded Marbury and it wasn't gonna be Howard Eisley or Charlie Ward...
The Suns coaches changed their philosophy to try to develop Amare after the alpha dog Marbury was gone, to see what they had. They knew Marion wasn't gonna be able to pick up the slack (too soft and needs a running PG to thrive) and Joe Johnson wasn't ready for the role yet either, so they force fed Amare and it blew up in their faces. The Suns went 10-17 after the All Star break and Amare averaged 4.85 turnovers in April (taking 20 FGA per game, 2 more than ball hog Marbury took) as their #1 option. Show me another "star" post player who has averaged that many turnovers in a month. Yeah, his scoring went up after Marbury left, because he took Marbury's role as the stat , hence the irony in the nickname for himself... but his team lost because of his turnovers and selfishness. The same thing that Marbury got shipped out of town for. Way to make your team and/or teammates better, STAT....

They changed their philosophy because the team was going nowhere and figured why not give Amare more touches to give him experience. Giving Amare more touches that season wasn't so they could win games. It's not like they expected Amare in his 2nd year to carry the team to a championship, or be any good at all for that matter. The goal was to develop Amare.
Marion attempted more shots than Amare that season and Joe Johnson attempted the same amount of shots. They didn't "force feed" Amare, and the goal wasn't to win games. The goal was to develop those players. It was obvious that once they traded Marbury they were planning for the future and planned on it being a rebuilding season.
Neat, they went 10-17 after the all star break, an they went 19-36 before the all star break, I have no idea what your point is. They were a young rebuilding team that had no intention of winning games.
It was Amare's 2nd season. like turnovers and mistakes are gonna happen. But just for the of it, Dwight Howard in his 3rd season averaged 4.69 turnovers in February who like Amare was on a team that wasn't in win now mode and wanted him to have touches in the post and go through growing pains such as turnovers. In both situations it was a young player who wasn't expected to win games or make his teammates better and there was an understanding that the player would have some ugly touches and do some stupid things.
His team lost because it was a young team that was in a rebuilding year. Blaming Amare for the Suns only winning 29 games that year is the equivalent of blaming Kevin Durant for the Thunder only winning 23 games in his 2nd season because he had a month when he averaged 3.79, but given your frontal lobe damage you'd probably do that.

The fact you describe Stephon Marbury as "top PG play" probably makes your mother remember how much meth she did when she was pregnant with you.
