I love Radiohead but he does have an argument. What's your argument in that Radiohead is so genius?
Well, they also play Fake Plastic Trees and Karma Police on the radio out here in SoCal...
It isn't necessarily about what goes on the radio and what doesn't. Radiohead has intrinsic value that is popular with a great deal of the population. The lyrical content and arrangements are more complex than a majority of the bands that were around during the inception of Radiohead. Now, I enjoy them and I love their music, but I'm not one to judge on whether others should feel the same way. They are not everyone's cup of tea and so it does (somewhat) take a fan to understand the appeal.

Um, what radio station are you listening to cause I don't think it's the same as the other poster?
, mayne, did you watch Lady Gaga's Telephone music video?
It's popular, so it's definitely single of the year.![]()
Even lots of the contemporary music played on Sirius' Alt Nation sucks.
If I want to listen to the best up and coming artists, I would not turn on a radio.
Ok when I think of the radio I don't think of the new hits type stations. I think of the pure rock stations that play any rock from The Beatles to Korn and everything in between; and I'm pretty sure that's what kind of radio station the other poster was refering to
Though, there are quality radio stations out there. I'm not sure what they are out in Texas, but KCRW is prime radio listening material out here in SoCal. If you want, they also have a website that has archival material for things indie and in between.
This thread is for me
Wow, Jacobs. The dumb 25 year old virgin. I don't like calling people out on , but you're a ing re . Go die.
Listen to all of OK Computer. And the B-sides as well. How I made Millions is a great track.
Thom also has a new track dets about a month old that's likely to be on the new album. It's called Give up the Ghost.
From In Rainbows, the standout tracks to me are Nude, Bodysnatchers, Jigsaw Falling into Place, All I need, Reckoner.
The Bends - I like almost all of it except High and Dry, My Iron Lung and Just.
Hail To the thief - Only 3 songs I listen to are There there, 2+2=5, Wolf At the Door.
My Iron Lung is a great track...
The remixes of Reckoner and Jigsaw Falling Into Place...are cool, too.
A lot of good live on youtube. I turn those into DVD's and wtach them as I go to sleep.
and lol at calling creep one of your favorite songs.
And avoid Amnesiac or Pablo Honey.
If you listen to Amnesiac, play Pyramid Song, You and Whose Army, or Knives Out.
Great examples, IM...but let the OP or whomever is reading this thread find his only Radiohead path...
To each his own, Paranoid Android...

Is that really funny? I don't get it. Why don't you google "lyrics radiohead" and see what the first song suggested is. Or go to youtube and just type "radiohead" and again see the first suggestion. Guess what, it's CREEP. And like Jacob1983 said, there is ONE radiohead song that's consistently on rock stations and it's Creep. With all that said, I love all their styles. But I guess that has nothing to do with being a fan
I Find them kinda Boring, but thats my opinion, im not saying they suck or anything im just saying they are not my type of Music i like to listen to
My Favorite Artist
1. The Killers ( all the haters)
2. MGMT
3. Armin Van Buren
It is funny. Those are the same people that think Radiohead is some one-hit wonder.
Once you hear the rest of Radiohead's catalog, I doubt you'll listen to creep for more than just an occasional listen.
And Idk if Thom hates Creep cause the song, or if he's just so burnt out on it. Reading some of his The Bends interviews make it sound like that. He said it had been like 2 or 3 years since creep and they were still playing the same songs. He got sick of it. He probably hates High and Dry more.

dets probably my favorite Radiohead song right now. Almost always changes, though.
And creep is a loser anthem. How many people sit there singing that song after getting dumped.
The Tourist and Blow Out have really good high parts, maybe not as agonizing or hurt sounding, but they are great.
Radiohead isn't on the radio because no one wants to hear "Pyramid Song" after "My Humps." It just doesn't transition well and no one would want to dance after crying their eyes out.
PS: Idioteque is a cool kid anthem and probably the worst song in Radiohead's entire collection. There's no reason why it shouldn't have been scrapped for a B-side, which Radiohead has plenty of amazing B-sides.
That song is awesome possum brah![]()
Here are the second and third best albums of 1997, after OK Computer (obviously).
