SAN ANTONIO - Manu Ginobili's agent Herb Rudoy tells News 4 WOAI that the Spurs star guard will finish his career in the NBA.

Internet reports surfaced over the past few days that Real Madrid in Spain is interested in signing Ginobili as a free agent this summer. According to the reports, Real Madrid was prepared to offer Ginobili ten million euros or the equivalent of thirteen million U.S. dollars.

“Manu will finish his career in the NBA,” Rudoy told News 4 WOAI sports director Don Harris. “I don't know who reported that, but they didn't talk to me.”

Rudoy also said he talks to Spurs general manager R.C. Buford often, but said that a contract extension isn't close at this time.

“There's nothing new going on there. I talk to R.C. all the time. Manu wants to finish his career as a Spur,” Rudoy said. “R.C. is in Europe right now, and when he comes back I am sure we will talk again."

Ginobili is in the final year of a deal that pays him ten million dollars this season. The Spurs have exclusive negotiating rights until July 1. Ginobili will then become an unrestricted free agent.

Manu Ginobili's agent Herb Rudoy tells News 4 WOAI that the Spurs star guard will finish his career in the NBA.
Actually, Rudoy's denial is good strategy. He doesn't want to scare off other NBA teams from bidding up Manu's price. He also knows it's better to have 30 bidders to count on rather than just one.

I don't disagree, and if an undeniable deal comes along, I expect he'll feel compelled to think about it. That said, he's a family man now, and it's difficult for me to imagine him forcing his wife to adapt to a new cir stance when she already has twins to take care of.

Real Madrid was prepared to offer Ginobili ten million euros or the equivalent of thirteen million U.S. dollars.
This offer is 13 mill + Taxes, in Europe the team pay the taxes and the contract is free.
Delfino´s 5 millions contract in Rusia, was like 10 millions NBA contract

Well... he's played in Italy before, and he would go a country where they speak his native language. Can't be too hard.

It's good news that Spurs and Manu's agent are talking about en extension. I wouldn't be surprised to see Manu signing an extension just before the playoffs.

And the €10M figure is likely damn wrong. The highest paid player in Madrid is Felipe Reyes or Jorge Garbajosa with a salary around €1.5M-€2M. It makes no sense to think that they will pay €10M for one player, even more one who isn't Spanish.

    Really

The Real Madrid payed 130 Millions Euros to Manchester City and 9 millions a year to Cristaino Ronaldo and have a 1 BILLION EUROS BUYOUT.

65 Millions Euros to Milan for Kaká and 54 millions 6 year contractr

35 Millions and 36 millions fice years contract for Benzema, who almost don´t play and is a Bench Player

So 30 millions 3 year for Manu is a Cheaper

come up with a basketball player, who get's that kind of money from Real and you have a point.
just because they overwhelm soccer stars with that numbers, doesn't mean that they do the same in other departments.
or do you think Real pays their housekeepers 10 times the money other housekeepers get from other teams?
30M for Manu is KBP logic, not reality.

Ginobili seemed amused by rumors of the potential offer, first floated by a Spanish journalist Tuesday via Twitter,

"I saw the same report you saw," Ginobili said. "That's an enormous amount of money, but I don't believe it."
