no it's head to head. every week your stats start over and you play an opponent on your schedule. So the best records make the playoffs then you play the matchups until the winner is crowed (which will probably be me). You set lineups daily so if you have a guy who is benched that night, you can replace him. The object is to win more categories than your opponent that week, then you add up all your wins to get the division standings. So if you won OBS, RBI, HR, SB, ERA, AND Wins...you won 6 and lost 4. So you would get 6 wins and 4 losses.
Drafting is much easier than CBS leagues. It's more refined in Yahoo.

the draft room is in yahoo. sign up and show up on Saturday a couple minutes before and you should see the draft application that you just click on. You can try the mock drafts Yahoo runs to practice and see how it works. It's really simple especially if you are coming from CBS

Okay. Here's the draft order and here's how I got there. I used a random number generator to put together the draft order.
Here is your sequence:

I then assigned random numbers between 1 and 12 to each of the teams in the league. To do that, I wrote the name of each team on evenly-sized pieces of paper, wadded them up and put them into a cup. I then wrote each of the numbers between 1 and 12 on evenly sized pieces of paper, wadded them up, and put them into a second cup. I then drew the names of the teams and came up with this order:

there is one thing I've learned and it's that some people are just wired for success. I have no choice when it comes to being great, I just am great. Not trying to sound y or full of myself but I have a sneaking su ion that no matter what comes my way, I will always be great cuz that's just the way works
Good thing I got Whott for the first week so I can give my team a chance to gel and still get a win. I own Whott. 3-0 last year. Couldn't have asked for an easier week to start the season off. It's like the baseball gods are making this too easy for me to win this year.
Maybe I should draft Brett Tomko so he can beat Whott's ass again
Lets see if you can actually make playoffs this year. Just FYI I made playoffs my rookie and sop re year. 4th my first year 3rd (last year)the next. So now im due for 2nd or first, but im sure it will be first. Id like to thank you in advance dan for some easy wins on my way to the le.

half of my team with my own pre rankings......no ill be there to show you that I am by far the superior manager.
I dont think there is any doubt that I'm the best manager....that is undeniable.
The only debate is my general managing skills....which I have vastly improved on with my new strategy. I say that because my team wasn't good after the draft last year (bad GM skills) but because of my ability to forecast and gameplan, I was able to finish with a good record...that's all on the manager.
So this year, I will have the best of both worlds, and will run away with the le.
Only thanks to my trade to you which helped me bet better as well. So since I made playoffs that makes me a better overall GM.

giving me the 9th pick in a 12 team draft was the worst thing to happen to this league from a compe ion standpoint. That is the spot you want in a 12 team draft. It's the spot of Champions. 64% of the people who land the 9th pick in a 12 team draft end up winning the league- pair that with my abilities and strategy, we are looking at as close to a sure thing as you can get
