Wow, those four teams are pretty damn close
As of today:
2. Denver (47-25)
3. Dallas (47-25)
4. Utah (47-25)
5. Phoenix (45-26)
I'm assuming that OKC and San Antonio won't crack the Top 5 because of their difficult schedules. Here are the schedules for the 4 teams above:
Phoenix:
NY Knicks
@Minnesota
@Chicago
@New Jersey (B2B)
@Detroit
@Milwaukee (B2B)
San Antonio
@Oklahoma City
Houston
Denver
@Utah (B2B)
Utah:
@Indiana
@Washington (B2B)
NY Knicks
Golden State
@LA Lakers
Oklahoma City
@Houston (B2B)
@New Orleans
@Golden State
Phoenix (B2B)
Denver:
@Toronto
@Orlando
@Dallas (B2B)
Portland
LA Clippers
@Oklahoma City
LA Lakers (B2B)
San Antonio
Memphis
@Phoenix (B2B)
Dallas:
@Golden State
Denver
@Memphis
Orlando (B2B)
Oklahoma City
Memphis
@Portland
@Sacramento (B2B)
@LA Clippers
San Antonio
Epic fail Denver. Look what you've done.
Dallas probably has the most favorable schedule but they are known to choke from time to time. Utah blows on the road. Denver can't win without the George Karl apparently![]()
Going with Phoenix as the two-seed only because they've been on a roll lately.
Who gives a though when the Lakers will just steamroll through the West anyway .![]()

He is talking 2-5 seed,not draft picks...
sons we have a motha in genius in the building!!!
frankly I could give 2 s...I'm only worried about who's going to finish #1.
and Yeah I'm Rich Biyaaaaaaatch.....
Mavs ain't getting the #2 seed bc they are allergic to defense
Jazz should be ranked #3 right now cause they own the tiebreaker with Dallas.
Divison leader superseeds any tiebreakers...
Nevermind. Just noticed that they changed the rule this year...
TIEBREAKER BASIS:
(-) Tie breaker not needed (better overall winning percentage)
(1) Division leader wins tie from team not leading a division
(2) Head-to-head won-lost percentage
As far as remaining schedules...Utah has the easiest on paper, but we all know we play down to sub .500 teams from time to time. Here's how I see it...
2- Dallas
3- Utah
4- Denver
5- Phoenix
Jazz should be ranked #3 right now cause they own the tiebreaker with Dallas.
division leaders get the top spots ....... unless one squad has a game lead and is not a division leader. I saw the same thing with the Celtix and the Hawks. Hawks owned the C's this year yet they're still the four seed ......
All 3 of Dallas, Denver and Utah have relatively easy schedules left. But the Mavs have been in a funk recently while Jazz and Suns have been strong.
Denver will drop to #5
seemingly you change your signature even oftener than changing your underwear.
I was gonna say that it was unlikely the Suns could move up from fourth but Denver's schedule looks much than the Suns' down the stretch.
Who holds the tie breaker?
Answered my own question....Phoenix is up 2-1 with one game to go. And the Suns blew a 20 point 3rd quarter lead in the one loss!
2. Utah
3. Dallas
4. Phoenix
5. Denver
Wow that is crazy I agree Denver looks like thet are on the verge of imploding without Karl ...but to have them 5th?
I think Phoenix beats them in Denver's last game to either take a one-game lead on them, or tie them, at which point Phoenix would own the tie-breaker.
It's not like there are that many games separating them at tied for 2nd and Phoenix at 5th. Phoenix beats them late, and that's half the current difference.
I know Kmart is out and Karl is recovering but i thought this was the team that wa sgoing to take the lakers out?
Many have jumped off their bandwagon quick ...
The NBA forum was all aboard the Denver bandwagon last year when the Lakers took the Rockets to 7. even a few notable Laker fans jumped ship....
Denver is a joke. Mentally unstable little es with no balls. They aren't winning in this era.![]()
It wasn't just the NBA forum 21, I couldn't believe how many ESPN analysts were picking Denver saying re ed about how the front court of Nene, Birdman and K-Mart was tougher than Bynum Gasol and Odom.
