The reality is the organization took him for granted and wore him out. Why would anyone who's followed his career question his effort, heart, etc. the outward, phony, look at me "emotion" of Garnett, Bryant, etc., Duncan is as compe ive as any player in the league. Compe iveness has nothing to do with this, physical limitations are what this is all about and the organization has exacerbated those limitations by taking him for granted because they're cheap and ignorant.

This is exactly why I tell people all the time that he should have no less than 6 rings already. Being cheap finally caught up with the Spurs in 2008.
