Spurs finish schedule of death with +15 point differential

    That's +3 per game.

That's good enough to win any series in the playoffs against any team in the league.

Just think what will happen when Duncan starts trying, Parker returns, and the Grizzly Blair pulls his ass out of his head!

    Up yours, haters!

    when or if?

Spurs have been playing really well, but their role players will have to step up if they wanna see round 2 and beyond. I hope Parker regains his rhythm quickly.

Not done yet. Spurs still have Orlando, L.A., Denver, Phoenix, and Dallas on tap. Spurs will need to beat one of these teams to reach 50 wins that is if they take care of business against the rest.

EDIT: Duncan has been trying; he needs rest. Too many games in too many nights.

This final stretch is seriously deadly but we've been rising to the occasion admirably.

This is exactly what the Spurs need, tough compe ion before the playoffs start. The Spurs are on the verge of regaining their 2007 playoff form.

Defense has finally started clicking. The past several games, opposing teams have had to really work for shots.

Depends on how you look at it. The schedule is killing TD and it could wear out Manu come playoff time.

No, Duncan needs to start playing 40 minutes a game. Maybe not this week, but soon.

If you play Duncan 40 minutes a night, he'll be useless in the post season.

Dude, Duncan is taking it easy, moving on offense, setting picks, etc., but not asserting himself to shoot much. That's because the rest of the team is starting to click on all cylinders. Duncan and Manu are leading the team, and the new players are finally starting to gell in Pop's complicated system. We got 4 brand new people in the rotation.

That's bull . He needs to be in game shape. I've seen too many games where he is worn out in the 4th quarter or overtime. You'd think Duncan was some old man on his last legs in a rocking chair the way people talk around here. He is really get his rest on the court, playing like a vertaran Wilt Chamerlain or Wes Unseld, not worrying about scoring. In the playoffs he will be doing a lot of scoring. No one and out this year!

Lock down D. the Cavs went 6 possessions down the stretch without a score. The Celts scored 30 points in the second half!

He ran out of gas, because he is not used to playing enough minutes. 30 minutes a game will not cut it in the playoffs.

Yes ATL game still stings bigtime!!!!!!!!!! We had that one won! But the wins this week over Cleveland and Boston dull that too, bigtime! We were destined to lose one of those (One on the road), but we did not and won them both! I would say the bball Gods made up to us there, period.

A lot of games sting... it's been that kind of season. Hopefully we can keep improving, winning and getting TP back in round 1.

Record in games decided by 10 points or more:

    http://www.nba.com/standings/team_re...w_Mrg_Div.html

    WEST

    1. Spurs 29-8 +21
    2. Never done anything Jazz 30-11 +19
    3. High al ute only Nuggets 27-10 +17
    4. Old Fakers 26-10 +16
    5. Untested Thunder 24-9 +15
    6. No good in playoffs Suns 25-10 +15
    7. Banged up Blazers 22-12 +10
    8. Overrated again Mavs 17-13 +4

    EAST

    1. Magic 33-5 +28
    2. Cavs 31-4 +27
    3. Hawks 28-9 +19
    4. Celts 21-8 +13

Please note that record in games decided by 10 points or more is a better playoff predictor than win/loss record.

The Spurs are the best in the West, and they are a veteran team which makes this all the more amazing. Only two teams in the east are better than the Spurs, and both play in the easy eastern conference, while the Spurs not only play in the West, but play in the toughest division in all of basketball.

EDIT: Duncan has been trying; he needs rest. Too many games in too many nights.
He'll get his rest tonight against NJ I think. It's one of the few games left where Pop could decide to Keep Duncan out.
After that, I think there are only 2 games left where Pop may contemplate resting Timmy (@SAC, MIN). I think he may rest him one of those games only, most likely the Minnesota game if possible. But it's possible he's rested against Sactown too if Duncan plays big minutes in the game before (@LAL), as the Sacramento game is the first game of a back to back (@PHO is the 2nd game).

Well what he means is that these games are not in a row! The schedule of death section was @ATL, @OKC, LAL, CLE, @BOS in a span of 8 days. Those games above are scattered around our next 10 games, in between some very winnable games where our players can get rest.

Mon, Mar 29 @ New Jersey
    Wed, Mar 31 Houston
    Fri, Apr 2 Orlando
Sun, Apr 4 @ LA Lakers

    Tue, Apr 6 @ Sacramento
    Wed, Apr 7 @ Phoenix
    Fri, Apr 9 Memphis
    Sat, Apr 10 @ Denver
    Mon, Apr 12 Minnesota
    Wed, Apr 14 @ Dallas

The scary thing about this schedule is out of those tough matchups, 4 are on the road. We'll be fine though if we continue our recent run of good play.
