Point is I don't care about anything except the Spurs winning. They need wins. They can't afford to get cute and lose a game like this. I want Manu to be healthy, but this does not sound serious and a win is more important.

If it works out, great. If not, it will have not been worth it.

Spurs will be without a point guard. The Spurs struggled to move the ball and had few clean looks when Manu went out. This game could be a problem with the nets trying to avoid imphamy.

Right before he went out he got knocked down while playing defense, and on the trip back down he motioned to HIll who had the ball that he didn't want it, and just walked off to the corner but then he got into running a play. Right after that Pop called a time out and took him out. While he was sitting you could tell he was trying to loosen it up. I'm hoping he just hit hard and it bothered him for a while. Damn, like I said last night we can't catch a break, this is the Manu we've been waiting for the last 2 years for. so I'm all for him sitting out, the rest of the guys better bring it.

back could be sore, bust most likely its a "coughrestcough thing.

Dunno why they wouldn't just say rest though, it was said for Lebron James earlier this year.
If it were just rest, then there would have been no need for him to fake having a sore back last night. It's probably just what it looks like: A sore back.

lol @ the people saying it's Pop's fault... if keeping ginobili in the floor for an extra 2 minutes in one game is a big deal, how exactly do you plan on having him 100% the entire playoffs? Gimme a break, in lame
Isn't there a rule that injuries only happen during regular season?

    Imfamy, Spelling errors happen.

LOL and CROFL in the same sentence is a bit redundant.

I don't know... With the Spurs hovering in and out of the 6-8th seed this late in the season would Spurs keep a player out just for rest?

I have a gut feeling that it might be bothering him pretty badly to be sitting out right now, but I do truly hope my assumptions are wrong here. Manu has been playing damn well.

His back definitely must hurt, I'm not worried yet though..better not to risk anything..

Also, this will force everybody else, including Duncan, to have to step up and stay focused tonight..no Manu to bail everybody out like he's been doing for the last month or more..

Allthough I do agree that anyone can get hurt at any given time. I do feel Pop could have pulled Manu out alot earlye rin that game. Not blaming Pop but it might have been prevented, oh well those are the risks I guess.

I don't think this is serious. I'm sort of glad, he needs some rest. This is the game to rest.

Injury didn't need to happen. Manu should have went out when they were up by 16 to start to start the fourth.

Pretty good timing though for a Manu injury, playing well, end of season, fighting for a playoff spot

    who saw this one coming?

He definitely needs the rest. I'm surprised the statement isn't more informative, we sure need him well for the Rockets. The team owes him a big win tonight!
