hey guys, i am a little bit upset with this loss as well. however, it's on a b2b and 2/3 top players were not there, so let's not despair. just in case your brain is inundated with bemoaning and disdain that you could fill two and a half dozen horse condoms, let us attempt to solve this exercise:

when missing 2 of their top 3 players (the whole game), which teams have won a game this year against another team that was healthy? also, do not try to weasel out of it like it wasn't you who farted at the job interview. it was. everybody knows it. so do not try to re-paint a miara and sell it as a maseratti by saying that dallas won without terry and marion (just an example - don't know if it happened) - marion is not a top 3 guy in dallas.

so you do your research, plug along like a good sport and come up with a handful of results (maybe)

now, observe which one of those wins were at home, and which ones were away. remove the ones that were at home from consideration.

don't fret. there is one more step to the process. count only the ones that are on the second day of a back-to-back. now you are done. count them on your fingers from your writing hand. how many do you see? if the answer is one, then do us all a favor and stick it in that area were things always come out with a certain color, but never go in - the twilight zone. Because if you are such an insecure pansy who fails to see the bigger picture and realize that you have been blessed with a team that has consistently given you 50 wins/season over more than 10 years, then you are nothing but a little suck-up crying for online e-tension because you never came to terms with the fact that your girlfriend never invited you to sadie hawkins and let's face it, you haven't been talking your medicine for a while. go back to your trailer and we'll all pretend that you aren't having white, extremely neurotic sex with your cousins.

one last thing - go spurs go!

This thread feels a bit condescending towards the emo crowd. Don't you realize they rule this joint?

We lost to the 9-63 New Jersey Nets.

    Your argument is therefore non-existent.

The Spurs are dead. Long live the Spurs.

It just wouldn't be Spurstalk without a "believe...it's only March...silver lining" thread after a horrendous performance to try and make themselves feel better.

All the credibility given the Spurs for beating the Cavs and Celtics was just taken away by this one game. I still can't believe it.....the Nets!

I don't agree with the calling upset fans non true fans but seriously no manu, no tony, a beat down un- inspired tim, and a whole lotta playing time for garret temple...what you expext???

The SPURS just beat the cavs, killed the celts, played like 43 great mins against the lakers, and lost a heartbreaker to the hawks. Tonight however, with all the missing pieces, was not the SPURS. Therefore its not fair to hate on them for this loss

A team that beat the Cavs, killed the Celts, played like 43 great minutes against the Lakers and lost a heartbreaker to the Hawks should not lose one guy and get beat by one of the worst teams in NBA history.

Come on, this is not a big deal per say! Parker and Manu out!
this was the 2nd game of a Back to back!

they got to new jersey at 2:00AM. So they had little rest!

You can tell they got complacent!

Oh and the team the Spurs beat the day before, also lost to these same nets team @ home! if the spurs lost at home to the nets, then i would be concerned! Anyteam would of beat the Spurs yesterday, and it happen to be the Nets!!!

oh well, i still think they are a good team, and can compete, but hey who cares what i think, everyone seems to know the future and would rather take the easy road in saying they are done!!!!!!!

Shut up and let them play you bafoons!

Too many minutes for career d leaguers. If anything we now know what we get from Hairston with extended minutes.

Your kidding right? You have the Spurs, an old team, playing on a b2b, which they have historically always struggled in playing. You already have Parker out, that "one" guy you mentioned who is out for this game, Ginoboli, happens to be the best player on the Spurs right now, and your other top player, Duncan, has a bad game. So you take away the Spurs top 3 players, and what you have is a below average NBA team, which lost to another below average team, in the Nets, on their home court. Not a total shock IMO.

That about sums it up for me. B2b my ass, this what they are paid to do and that is why you have a team its not like one guy was out there playing 48 mins. two nights in a row. The closest was George Hill.
