His performances in the playoffs are all that matters to me.
With RJ playing up to snuff and showing he has the potential to fit in what would you do with him this offseason/next season? Try and trade him or keep him around and possibly re-sign him when his contract is up for less money. Im interested to see what other Spurs fans think his recent performances are worth.

Well, we have him all next year, and there will be league-wide changes in salary, so it is hard to say what will happen.
He has been playing very well recently, but he was playing poorly before, so that probably evens out with him getting less than half of his 15m/yr salary from before. I would like him for 7m/yr for 4 years.
Of course, I don't know if we can pay everyone, and we HAVE to sign Hill. He is a monster.

I think it depends on a couple of things.
1. Will the Spurs be able to resign Manu? If so, keep RJ. If no, trade RJ
2. Will there be a market for RJ over the offseason?
Of course, a lot depends on how he plays in the playoffs.
Provided the Spurs can draft a long, athletic, SF in the June draft, the optimal scenario would be having the Spurs keep RJ for another year. That would give the new rookie SF the opportunity to learn, grow and acclimate. By the second season, the young rook should be ready to take over.
Yeah I completely agree on the whole Manu thing. Im getting the feeling there will be no market for him over the summer but come trade deadline time his enormous expiring contract will be like gold to teams in financial trouble.
i would worry about this in the off-season. we will need plenty to talk about once this season is over... especially if its another 1st round exit.
His consistency seems to have picked up since TP went out, but come playoff time we'll need to avoid scoring droughts and having TP out there will help avoid that when Manu's not on the court. If Jefferson can continue to contribute while playing with TP when it matters most, we'll be in striking distance no matter who we play...then he can stay. :p

RJ is a skilled player. Always has been. It's not his fault that Tony Parker isn't a true point guard.
I think Jefferson, earlier in the season, looked confused as far as where he fit into the offense. He now looks much more comfortable out on the court. Another thing that I've noticed Jefferson doing more is going to the hole alot more aggressively when is jumper isn't falling. As far as next year, Jefferson is the only true sf on the roster. So the Spurs would have to pick up another sf, thru free agency, or the draft if they want to move him. Either way, Jefferson should be a valuable commodity to the Spurs, whether they keep him, or trade him.

Trade the er. He has a few good offensive games and now people want to keep him? He is aging and not a difference-maker. Trade his expiring for youth and athleticism, and preferably someone who can DEFEND.
If RJ can keep up his performance in the playoffs, keep him. If he sucks next season, trade him at the deadline.
