I like really like Freddy's but they tend to over salt so I can't make it thru an entire serving. Plus I find them a little difficult to eat---too small for fingers and too spindly to stab with a fork!
Which ones?
Supposedly, Chick-fil-a uses peanut oil.

i thought they folded???
if someone else just bought the name, then yea, its not the same thing.
It was an OT reference to restaurant or home cooked, not fast food fries.
In & Out
Chick-fil-a
McDonald's
Red Rooster my favourite fries, they taste like the KFC ones cept they don't get soggy at the bottom.
Hogs Breath curly fries are lush but they're eat in.
Two nights in a row at attempted Club-runs? Not so fast, my commissioner friend.
McDonalds
And if you are in Quebec, Saint-Hubert
If this is in response to me that's why I gave a comparison to a chip you would be familiar with.
They have restaurants in North America?
There are no good fast food fries. Just go get some potatoes, peel them and cut them into shape, pieces. Get a deep fryer, put them in, after a while take em out and let them in the open air for a while, then put them back in, take em out, serve them and you will have the BEST fries in the world... Belgian style.
In-n-Out animal style fries, problem is they're a heart attack waiting to happen.
I'd probably go with the waffle fries from Chick-fil-a and a local joint called Salas.
1) Chick-Fil-A
2) Wing Stop w/cheese sauce
3) Chesters
Freddy Fries are pretty good to me........... I also like Smash Burger SMASH fries.......they have rosemary and olive oil. Kinda fancy assed fries..........Urromanom......nom nom!!!!
Wendy's
For me
1.ChickFil
2.McDs
3.Freddy's
4.BurgerKing
5.LongJohns
Special worst mention to Wendy's. They're uptown when they're fresh, but I can't remember the last time I got a fresh batch from Wendy's that didn't feel like it was soaking up grease for 3 hours.
They must not have Five Guys in Texas...
sure dont.
Not so -- there's a 5 guys in Austin, at least.
As for best fries in fast food, I like Bill Miller's, McD's, and LJS... probably in that order. Whattaburger fries aren't that good, but the ketchup they come with makes them compe ive with anything.
+1 to the "Eff Wingstop" pe ion.
+1 to duck fat fries. My buddy works next door to a place in Portland, Maine called, err... "Duckfat." It's always nice to visit his bar with a to-go order of fresh fries.
Oh really? I've never heard of them or seen them before. +1 to bill miller. place is money.
I like whataburger fries also... more so than mcds
