Started a local soccer supporters group.

We are called the Crocketteers and currently have about 110 people. 100 of us are on facebook group.

We are planning on having our first official meeting next week. We will have a special guest speaker who will talk about bringing MLS to San Antonio and the Texas Pro Socer Festival coming in March(4 MLS teams will make the trip to SA for week long training and games). We also have started an 18 man soccer team competing in San Antonio Soccer Association. We are currently 0-1.




We have gotten together from time to time to cheer on the USMNT at various Lion and Rose pubs/ Fox and Hound.

Alamo, we have been having monthly meetings and members of our supporter group who are not part of the team also asked about getting jerseys.

If I have about 18-20 ppl interested in jerseys they will come out to around $50.00 - $60.00 jersey. They are nike and they run small.

I advise you visit our website at www.crocketteers.com. We have a forum there to talk soccer and supporters group business. Our next meeting is Nov 22, at the Lion & Rose Dungeon (410/Blanco) 6:00 PM. We will watch the MLS Cup after the meeting.

Spurstro... I'm trying to figure who you are since you mentioned "us". Enlighten me.

We started a paid membership faction of our group called the "Travis 250". http://www.crocketteers.com/the-travis-250/. You receive a cool scarf and membership card (with privileges to supporting local businesses). Freetail will offer discounts to Travis 250 card holders. (See scarf design and membership card at the above link. We have close to 60 paid Travis 250 members. And a couple hundred basic members.

Now is the time to support pro soccer in San Antonio. Today on 760 Morning Drive, they were discussing MLS in SA alongside talks concerning UFL. Even Andy Everett would support MLS in SA.
