I love the symmetries between the timelines. Charlie almost drowns again. Desmond "meets" Penny running steps in a stadium, and previously someone met him running steps in a stadium.
I'm really torn, because I don't know what to think of last night's episode. *Scratches head*
Desmond's gonna blow the lid off what?
I love the symmetries between the timelines. Charlie almost drowns again. Desmond "meets" Penny running steps in a stadium, and previously someone met him running steps in a stadium.
I'm also wondering who Penny's mother is, and is that important to the story. Daniel clearly said last night that she was his half sister. We know that Charles is both of their fathers and that Eloise is Daniel's mother.
I immediately thought the same thing when Daniel mentioned she was his "half-sister". Who could her mother be? Someone from the island?
Ok, I think I get it now. This show is ultimately about love.![]()
That was the reason he was banished from the island, because he had Penny with someone outside the island. He broke the rules.
yeah he had met Jack in the stadium way back when
The stadium was also the last place he and penny saw each other before Desmond went to the island.
It was a pretty abstract episode and could've been the 2nd best Desmond episode if the dialogue wasn't so damn awkward. I did like the idea that "you have the perfect life, there's nothing more you could want" yet Desmond DOES want something more, and it seems like all the characters are lacking that same something. And Desmond's going to tell them what it is! Every single passenger lol
The next episode is probably the last of the filler, then we get down to the real battle.
I liked that episode, brother. Desmond is a great character.
The only thing I did not like was how quickly (rushed) Faraday put the pieces together in the alternate time line. The writers didn't give us all season and now Faraday all of a sudden sums the entire thing up in 3 minutes....
Yea, that sucked.![]()
I'm guessing Daniel wrote those equations in the notebook a few weeks ago. There's probably a mention of "Desmond Hume is my constant" in there too...
Question for all the Losties.
When the series is over, will you watch it all over again?![]()
yes. I am buying the entire collection once season 6 comes out.
no. I've seen each episode one time and I plan on keeping it that way.
yeah. Getting the complete series on blu-ray "brotha" -Desmond voice
That's the best part about Lost! The series will be 10000x better once you understand the big picture I think. I thought season 3 sucked, but after having re-watched the entire series these past couple months, I appreciate it much more.
I read online today that the scale with the black stone and the white stone was in Widmore's office scene from this episode. I'm gonna have to bust out the TiVo recording and check.
Time article - See comment 16![]()
Okay, I like to think I understand the emotional level of LOST pretty good, it's the part I most appreciate. Jack is my favorite because of that. But Comment 16 totally kicks the ass of anything I would have thought of or put into words. I REALLY hope that's how this has all been set up, and if so it's a of a way to end this series.
LOVE MUTHAFRAKKERS!!!!
I might sound stupid when I ask this but has Desmond figured out that there are two realities on Lost? Is that what that electro-magnet test or whatever it was did to him? And why is it that Desmond was basically the only person in the alternate dimension/reality that was happy? Last question then I will shut up, will Desmond's flash about Claire and Aaron being rescued off the island by helicopter come true? I remember in season 3 that Desmond told that to Charlie.
Desmond, by the end of the episode, DEFINITELY knows there are two timelines. And what's crazy is... I think there's only ONE Desmond now. I think, for all intents and purposes, the mind of alt-Desmond and reg-Desmond have merged.
Oh, and lots of others in the Alt are happy... Jack made up with his son, Hurley's lucky, Locke has found love and accepts his condition, etc etc.
I'm definitely getting this on Blu-Ray when it comes out. I've got great memories of the wife and I watching all of Season 1 and 2 on the weekends.![]()
Wow, great find. And if that's how this all ends, I'm just gonna in cry.
Wow, I didn't catch that. Thanks!
Thanks for making things clearer.![]()
Looks like we finally get the Hurley episode. That's what the preview appears to indicate. We also get a Michael callback.
