Anyone notice how well Tyson Chandler looked tonight? Haven't seen him this nimble in two years.

yea he dropped 16 and 10 on us ... no surprise there though. (Okafor had 7 and 9 btw)

He also had 5 blocks, in the first half. He really looked quick and agile, totally different compared to last season. Seriously, I was stunned how well Tyson moved in the paint.

son I have preached in favor of Tyson for years now. He is one of my personal favorite players. A big man of his size who is lean and quick like Tyson is very rare to find. The dude led the NBA two years in a row in offensive rebounds and nearly made the All Star team in 07-08 with CP3 dishing all those lobs to him. He got hurt in 09 and instead of the Hornets being patient and allowing him time to heal, they were bent on trading him ever since. It was an extremely idiotic trade by the Hornets for many reasons. Tyson's chemistry with CP3 was rare and one of a kind and his defensive presence was priceless. Now we are stuck with Okafor who has no chemistry with Paul, can't play defense, and makes more money and has a longer contract than Tyson.

Okafor appeared to be a better player than Chandler at the time of the trade. I for one was clamoring for Okafor to join the Mavs. I don't think he's declined much, it's just that ty stench/losing culture of the NOLA franchise has really deterred him from success.

son Dallas ain't ever won either so don't start. Okafor is a bum. sure he is ok to have on the team, but for $11M per year he isn't worth it. He may get a few nice blocks here and there, but the guy is a total fraud on defense. Everyone already knew that David West doesn't play defense, but he REALLY got exposed this season without Chandler guarding the lane.

No, he really sucks. Doesn't have a reliable post game, cannot shoot a jumper or FTs, can't set a screen, loafs at times, is undersized at center and gets abused by the big centers in the league. He's a horrible player making 10 million a season.

The Hornets were top 10 in defensive efficiency and are now in the bottom 10 this season because of Okafor replacing Chandler.

If Chandler was healthy last season as he was tonight, no way he gets traded for a bum like Okafor. Bower felt TC was damaged goods and he may be right, but Tyson proved them wrong tonight.

Also TC is a much better FT shooter this season. He's shooting 72% from the line.

son also Chandler makes less money and his contract comes off the books after next season ... Okafor has FOUR MORE YEARS left on his contract at 11.5M, 12.5M, 13.5, & 14.5M!!!

Tyson didn't look this healthy last season. He was moving around really well tonight. He did miss alot of games this season due to his chronic foot, and he says he's only around 85% healthy, but he definitely looks much quicker. I wonder if he put off some weight. Definitely didn't look this good last season.
