This is the thing though. Even if Mason Jr. is hitting shots can we afford to play him?

We lost the game on the defensive end badly.

Mason Jr. was shocking on the defensive end. He hit some decent shots on offense, but is that enough for all his mistakes and ups on defense?

Ah, the old " ty photo so chumps undersestimate me" trick. I get it. I use that when I play ball - Kareem glasses, headband, huge ankle braces... and at the end of the game everyone is always amazed that I outplayed them.

Mason Jr. was shocking on defense. A rookie is his second start ever was superior to Mason Jr. on the defensive end.

Spurs were winning all these games lately by playing better defense. Mason Jr. also wasn't get much court time during a lot of those wins. Tonight was one of the worst defensive games we've play in over a month.

I agree, although I'm sad to say I think it is the world that has gone that way, not just Suns fans. I've heard cheering when opposition players get hurt in OUR arena this year, sad to say...

And the guys he was guarding all night scored what, 5 pts? JRich, Stoudemire, Nash, and Frye were the guys who torched us the most, none of which was Roger's assignment

Nash is a fantastic player and leader, and an honourable man. I don't think he deserves that kind of disdain.

Sure, anything goes, I just don't see why people hate on Nash so much. Nash haters IMHO. He's a warrior balla, a great leader, and a gentleman.

So Mason Jr. is now the best defender on the team is he? Where is this evidence he had only 5 points scored on him the whole game?

Most players had a bad game on defense, but Mason Jr. is usually the ring leader in that area.
