They didn't throw the game they just choked.
The 2010 ECF between Cavs/Magic will be the nba finals. If Cavs are healthy, Magic don't have a chance in though.
Out of the three they could potentially get, I'm assuming the Lakers preference is: Thunder, Trail Blazers, Spurs. I don't know about this "they don't want the Trail Blazers". Maybe not ideally, but do they want the Spurs more than them? I can't see it.
I was one who was onto the Lakers last off season, saying they were overrated. I was right about the lack of depth, them being due for injuries and Bryant declining. I don't think they're done competing for championships, but they don't have nearly as long as people think. Next season could easily be their best and/or last chance to win another one.
It's obvious at this point that they're going to have to start treating Bryant more like Duncan and less like James next season. If they're smart, they sit him out the odd game, hold him to 35-36 mpg max and in general start playing through Gasol more. Similar to Duncan and Ginobili, I wouldn't call Gasol better than Bryant, but right now he's clearly their best player. Whereas Duncan is all about team and doesn't get caught up in that alpha dog nonsense and force things, Bryant will never do that and it will continue to be a problem going forward.
So. Play your star player 40 mins eventhough he's seriously hurting and risk his injury further to tank? hmmmm.
lol Kobe didnt even move at the last play when Gasol took the 3 point shot.
When you choke, you tend to smile to avoid the pressure of failing. They did not throw the game. On the contrary, I think they are more fearful of the Spurs than the Blazers.
So true.
and when has Kobe smiled after a loss?
yes, the lakers want to face the SPurs
this is almost as stupid statement as a Spur fan saying they want the Lakers in round 1![]()
Spurs fans were more disapointed in the Lakers loss then Lakers Fans. Most Lakers fans here WANT to face the Spurs. Thats an easy win for the Lakers.
1. OKC- Durant & Westbrook cant win 4 out of 7 by themselves, no playoff experience, weak bigs.
2. SA- Older frontline, 6 foot 6 backup center, good playoff experience, Manu playing well, Parker pretty good PG.
3. Portland- Bigs with some good length, avg PG, pretty tough for LA to win at the rose garden.
