I'm not sure if the actual word was used, but I was kind of familiar with the idea of "curbstomp" from the movie American History X, which was late 1990s.

I'm not sure if the origin is ST for this term either, but I'm about 90% sure that the first time I became familiar with "butthurt" was from these boards.
