Time to put an ASTERISK next to the 80s Lakers for most 50 win consecutive seasons. Spurs would surpass them if not for the lockout season right?

Yeah but we(Spurs) still have some good young talent.
O btw, the correct spelling is congratulations. Just saying.

I can't wait til we beat their record for most consecutive seasons of 50 wins.

    What's wrong with you ?

    Duncan >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Dirk

It's an insult to compare Dirk with Duncan. Granted that Dirk is a great player for Dallas but he is not on the same level as Duncan. Duncan is the one of the greatest players in NBA history and some would say the greatest PF ever. Dirk is just a SG in a PF body.

Sure, i know about resorting to insults when you have obviously nothing to come back with.

Respect accomplishments? I did mention in my previous post that Dirk is a good player in Dallas context but not one of the NBA greats. Look at the following....

    4 NBA champions
    3 NBA Finals MVP
    2 league MVP
    12 NBA All-stars
    12 All Defensive
+ multiples of awards including Rookie of the Year, Naismith College player, etc...

So please do not take the best player in your history and compare it with the best PF in NBA history 'cuz its not on the same level.

Oh yes, congratulations on your Southwest Division le ...

Dirk's Mavs were highly compe ive over the last decade... there's no denying or minimizing that.

So, David Robinson doesn't have an era? He coat tailed Duncan.

Robinson has as many rings as Dirk as the #1 option. That's great.

    Edit: typo

So, Duncan wasn't the "#1 option" in '99, '03, and '05? The years he won a regular season MVP and 3 Finals MVPs?
    Lol, already fixed it.

    Yeah...there'll be some dark days.

And don't mind people jumpin on ya. You're a Mav fan, we're about to play 'em (end of season and POs), and , even if we WEREN'T, you'd still be ostracized, civil or not.

You're the "enemy" on a Spurs board. Time to thick-skin up.
