Who do the jazz play?
and the Spurs would be facing a Boozerless/Kirilenkoless/Brewerless Jazz team
Hmmmm....![]()
The Suns in Utah.
But with the injuries listed above it'll be tough, though Sloan always does a great job of plugging in the parts.
Both teams are on a back to back, but the Suns got an easy victory so they should be better rested.
I must have missed what happened to boozer and kiralinko
Don't forget Maynor-less!!!!!!!!!!!!!
blazers also has to win vs gsw, very likely
wouldn't it be crazy if portland lose in purpose to have a chance to play utah in the 1st round instead of mavs
Go jazz go, go spurs go for tomorrow
Certainly changes things doesn't it.
boozer has a muscle sprain in his rib cage and will have an mri tomorrow.
damn, they would have had a good shot at beating phx otherwise.
If the Jazz and Spurs win out then the Spurs 7th will face Utah 2nd, unless Portland looses to GS. In which case we face Dallas.
If the Suns beat the Jazz, the Spurs beat the Mavs, and the Blazers lose to the Warriors...
The Suns play the Spurs in the first round. Thank god this is an unlikely scenario.
Dude, your Suns have been tearing it up lately. I know the Spurs have had your number in recent years but I'm sure it would be a of a series.
Every year, I go into the playoffs thinking my team can beat the Spurs. Every year I'm wrong. No more!
Mavs, Jazz or Suns in the first round. Interesting.
fair enough
I would rather the spurs play the lakers in the first round than later....spurs mavs is going o be tough on the spurs...not good at all
Just like us with the Lakers. There's a reason many fans here are hoping that the Lakers go down in round 1 or 2.
Do the Suns really have any incentive to win this game? Losing guarantees they host Denver in Game 1.
I knew about the Boozer injury, but what's this about other Jazz players with injuries? Details?
I just posted up in the playoff scenarios thread, but in a nuts -- yeah, I want the Jazz in the 1st round because they're the remaining possibility that Spurs have the most winnable personnel matchups against.
Tonight I'm rooting for Spurs win, Jazz win, Blazers win.
Jazz owned season series 4-0, but 2 of those games were in the 1st 4 weeks of the season. All were pre-All Star Break.
Spurs = vastly improved post-All Star Break. I can see the Jazz being overconfident against us because of regular season sweep. Jazz pick-and-roll is devastating as ever, but I think overall, we match up well. Would've most preferred getting the Thuggets in the 1st round, but since that's no longer possible, I want us to beat the Mavs tonight, get the 7th seed, and have Jazz finish as the 2nd seed.
If anyone has Jazz injury details, I'd love to hear more on that....
The thing is, if the Suns win tonight, the Spurs and Suns will meet in one of the first two rounds (if both teams make it that far). If the Jazz win, the Spurs and Suns can't meet until the WCF. I don't want the Spurs and Suns to meet any more than you do, Xylus, so go Jazz! (sorry...)
All the possible matchups, my head is spinning...
Just bring on the Mavs and kick their butt. If Pop doesn't rest the guys, this will be the first time playing them this season with the team healthy and gelling.
I like our chances against any of the teams, including the Mavs.
All this anticipation of who the Spurs are gonna face in the first round is killing me.
Good thing I can sleep it off since it's 11 PM right now where I'm at.
Mavs or Jazz is who I believe we're gonna face. Utah is the easier opponent, but Mavs is the more satisfying. I really wanna get revenge on the Mavpricks.
