I just joined this forum too, but yea that call on westbrook was bad he blocked all ball
Well this is my first thread and its a great honor to join this forum. The Lakers-Thunder game is currently airing and its seemingly over. I cannot get over the fact of how poorly officiated this game is. Honestly it takes the integrity of basketball away. I am not saying this just because I am a Laker hater, but when the refs have a significant say so in the outcome of the game, it pisses any avid basketball fan off. Hopefully this isn't a sign of things to come. Cheers to a great Spurs-Mavericks series!![]()

If you thought the refs in Lakers/Thunder were wacky, wait until you see Spurs/Mavs: Where Laughing Can Get You Ejected.
Welcome to the forums.![]()
The rebuttal will be that there were a ton of calls against the Lakers for playing reach defense. The fact is this has always been the balance to bad offciating. Call it one way during the game and call it the other during crunch time.
The NBA is fixed, there's no doubt. Its a corrupt league.
LeCrab Fraud will be given the championship on a silver platter
Wow, the Orlando Charlotte games looks like if you're a Bobcat you will get a call against for being on the floor.
Yup this isn't going to be good for either team.
Guess my question was answered.![]()
Dallas has TWICE shot ~ 50 FTs in game one of a series against us, and that was IN SAN ANTONIO. Dirk himself will probably shoot 50 FTs in a Game one in Dallas.![]()
I agree. Game 1 of the Thunder/Lakers series is a bad portent for how the officiating is going to go in the playoffs.
Miami went up by 14 against the Celtics, midway though the third quarter. Then the refs got involved. I got so sick of watching it, I had to change the channel. I really don't care which one of those teams wins, and which loses. But I hate to see games decided by officiating. There was no doubt who was going to be allowed to win that game.
And for those who say that Boston was just more aggressive on defense? It's easy to be aggressive when the refs quit blowing their damned whistles.
Playoff newbie hazing going on for the cats.
Refing in the NBA has always been questionable but I got to believe that its not fixed... I don't want this to be the WWE.
It's not fixed, it's just really really bad.
We as Spurs fans can NEVER say the NBA is fixed. As much as we want to argue bad calls, we have 4 rings and have twice won the lottery in a year that it truly mattered. There is no way that if the league was fixed a small market team in south texas would have a shot at 4 rings.
In the first half...
Spurs: 3 FTA
Mavs: 13 FTA
Biased refereeing much???
True dat...but the officiating in the NBA, overall, has been abysmal lately.
yeah who was the that said it was good that we had bennett and the crew reffing tonight
I've believed since the 2008 Hornets series that they fix GAMES, but not series. They'll call a game 7 even.
The networks don't make enough money on 4-0 and 4-1 series to justify their investment, so with mentally fragile teams like Dallas you have a 18-9 foul deficit and a 19-3 FT deficit to make sure they never fall behind in the series, because they've shown series mental collapse tendencies in the past.
3ft against 19ft
18 fouls against 9
You watch: Dallas will be up by a comfortable margin late, and they'll start calling some FT fouls on Dallas to make things look a little more even.
They'll also call a LOT of non-shooting fouls to even that count up.
Probably when one teams players have to be knocked on the floor and the others have to be lightly touched.
Damp isn't great but he isn't freaking Shaq. He can actually hit a freaking freethrow.....
