who you talkin to? I am pretty happy with the Spurs. Spurs will come out like beasts in game 2. watch...
You Spurs fans panic way too much and way too fast. Its barely the first game. I know there are bad memories from years past about how Dallas took us out of the playoffs. I have those same memories too, but it wasn't that bad.
I wasn't expecting a sweep nor Spurs in five. I still think the Spurs can and will pull this out. Yes Dirk still presents a huge problem for the Spurs, but folks around here need to calm down. I'm disappointed in the loss, but I'm not worried.
The Spurs were horrible on the glass, turned the ball over way too many times, and only went to the line 14 times. Yet they led in the 3rd and were never really out of it. The Mavs are good when they're out running and the turnovers the Spurs committed only helped them.
Expect the Spurs to come out a lot better in Game 2. Expect adjustments to be made. Its not going to be an easy task. I have too much respect for the Mavs to come out and say its gonna be easy for the Spurs to take this series. Its going to be a long and hard (that's what she said) series.
Calm the heck down drama queens!!!!

Talking to those fans that panic after one loss. There are a lot of them out there.
You guys are forgetting the spurs are missing an integral piece to the 1st unit, a healthy George Hill. If Hill doesn't play at all this is a major blow and I'm not going to pin my hopes extremely high.
Exactly.
If one chooses to look at this series realistically, Hill's absence means the Spurs are outmatched with essentially only their Big Three going up against the Mavs. Nothing dramatic about that.
Spurs MUST take Game 2, if not, we have to be realistic people. Even bringing it back here at home down 0-2 won't feel good. Manu can only do so much. With teams past, our entire roster had the heart to will us to victory, but i can only say that about half of this years team. But still, I'll cheer on, even if down 0-3 and trailing in the 4th.
I'm not saying I am not disappointed with the loss or that I don't have any respect for the Mavs. I have a lot of respect for that team. They're good. I'm not with those people who were claiming this series was gonna be easy and saying, "Bring on the Mavs." I wanted to play Denver, Utah, or Phoenix in the first round because I knew Dallas would be a tough matchup.
Just can't believe how some fans are.
I'd rather have a fresh leg team play the Mavs first off and finish off against the Thuggets or Jazz later on. But all in all, Mavs or Lakers wouldve just revealed our different weaknesses. Whether our team nuts up is the question.
one game with a bad trend. no, not the turnovers. that can be corrected. not the boxing out. that too can be improved upon. but the real concern is that the spurs stop at the big 3 plus mcdyess, hill and blair. but hill is hurt and blair gets limited minutes against the mavs. so where is the help going to come from? mason? bonner? no way. jefferson? highly unlikely. hate to say it but either the big 3 goes bananas or hill and RJ need to step up. if they cannot then it is over.

OMG shut up.
Spurs fans are so blind at times.
"It's only 1 game"
"It's only February"
"It's only March"
Give me a break.
Perfect example of thedrama queen I was talking about. Thanks a lot Sigz. =
i'm usually a pessimistic, surly, worried fan but i actually feel decent even though we lost. the FT discrepancy was a huge part of the game. we just gotta get someone (a 4th) involved.
Jefferson and mason play like hoes, no will,no heart, nothing. They give the spurs a bad name gtfo our team
It's called reality. Open your ing eyes.
I love the Spurs, but we are crap. We will not get out of the first round. I'll bet my left nut.
if we win game 2 this place will be totally opposite. Will start talking about our possible nba finals matchup.
This. I'm staying positive, but if we lose game 2 I'd say it's pretty much over. Could be wrong but their length plus confidence would be tough to overcome.
Speaking of realistic expectations, since when is a 12ppg guy THAT important? You guys have former all star Tony Longoria playing the same position for god's sake ,it's not like you play a 12man rotation in the playoffs.
SPURSTALK =
HAVE FAITH LIKE BIGGIE THO!

When the Spurs woke up at the end of the season, Hill was much more than some 12ppg scrub. Much more... If you were a fan and watched Spurs games you'd know. Props for your win, damn the Spurs for their lack of length, may it be priority #1 in the offseason now let's focus on game #2.
One game does not a series make. Spurs will be fine.
