and tony is ing it up.. even though he shoots decent. He doesn't do his pg role, and it's pointless for him to drive in since he will get injured or miss free throws and can't kick out.

Lol jefferson.
Stephen Jackson wasn't being "shopped" when the Spurs were shopping this summer. They had already made their purchase when he melted down.

we should have got ariza who could play some defense and shoot open 3's without missin them....
Ahh Spurs could have easily traded for him in November and added him to RJ.
There's no way to have done that really.
Trading who? Capt. Jack's contract is pretty hefty. We'd have had to trade the rest of our wings not named manu, and played Jack and Manu like 40 minutes all season long.
Bonner, Mason Jr and or Finley gets it done easily money wise. I think that is also a better than what they did trade him for.
I am sure Nelson would have taken Bonner because they did eventually end up signing Anthony Tolliver later in the season.
Have you looked at SJax's salary? I think it was in the 7 million range. Easily could have traded for him money wise.
I had two trades one was Bonner, Mason Jr, Finley for Sjax
and the other was Jefferson, Bonner, Mason Jr, Finley for SJax and Maggette.
Anyway I am not going to go over this anymore with you guys. It could have been done easily. Spurs either didn't want SJax on the books for 4 years, thought he might cause Chemistry issues or thought Jefferson would play better later in the season.
I'd be surprised if those trades were offered and the Warriors declined. I don't think the Spurs made any effort to get him.
We have the team we have now and I am still looking for RJ to perform. He can still do it. Just gotta get focused, put his head down, get aggressive and do it.

People VASTLY over rate Trevor Ariza here. Yes he plays some defense. His offense is sub par, though. He can't create for himself or anyone else. His 3 point shooting (33.4%) is lower than Keith Bogans' 35.7%. He's on a BAD team without a true star, and only hangs up slightly less than 15 points. , RJ scored 20 last year on such a team.
A few things.
First, when SJax was traded, we didn't know that RJ was going to be so bad all season. If we had, and there was a way, maybe a trade would have gone down. But if RJ played like everyone had expected, no one would be asking for SJax right now. Hindsight is 20/20
2nd, those three players may have worked money-wise, but Raja Bell and Radmanovic are probably equal in value (what the Bobcats gave GS). If they did take our trade of three players, they would have had to throw in another player, or buy one of the incoming players out, likely Finley.
Not to mention, we don't even know if the Spurs did offer the Warriors anything, and maybe they wanted Bell and Radmanovic over what we had to offer.
Such a good intelligent thought
yes, we should have traded Mason, Bonner, and Finley for him, but some guys here didn't wanted to give up Mason.
all in

Your assumptions solid and your facts on point but for some reason I would still rather have Ariza over Jefferson on this team.
I don't know why.
I just would.
HAHAHAHAHA you an idiot.
Spurmz fans ain't even know basketball how in da you like the team when you ain't like the game?
and hatin on parker ain't stoppin dirk slappin your whole frontcourt
the second one was the best...and I love4d it.
It would have been ideal if our main goal was to win till teh "Duncan's window" was open.
Stephen Jackson already knows the system.
Maggette was ideal for the pf in the pop's small ball
