Actually Durant did just choke. He was missing point blank shots. Looked like he had alligator arms out there shooting a lot of those shots. I think the nerves got to him. He even looked nervous during free throws.
First he took the bait from Phil Jackson and let him get under his skin. Now he is bothered by the fact that Artest did a decent job on him and is getting some credit for it.
The Oklahoma City star had heard one too many questions about Ron Artest and his defense after the Lakers' 87-79 Game 1 win on Sunday afternoon. And as he stood in the Staples Center tunnel pondering his 7-of-24 shooting performance and the part Artest played in it, the league's most polite prodigy turned a tad uncouth.
"I mean, not to take anything from (Artest), but if you miss shots people are going to say that's the defender's fault," a disappointed Durant told FanHouse. "Sometimes it's not like that. He does a great job, but it easily could've been a different game as far as me making those shots. ... If I missed a layup, does that mean he played great defense on that? If I missed a wide-open three, does that mean he played great defense on that, too?"

Artest played him pretty good. But imho durant looked so nervous out there and I think that played the biggest factor
Durant struggled in 4 meetings against us this year. So it' no fluke. Durant is very skinny, ron artest physicality gives him problems
Its one thing to get manhandled by Artest, but, to let Phil take your pants down like that was quite the hoot.
KD speaks the truth. And no great offensive player will ever admit he was shut down by one player. You never let a player gain mental edge on you. That is common sense.
lol.. 1 game overreaction. lakerfan busting a nut over a close, home game against the 8 seed is pretty amusing. durant comes back strong, book it.
The guy's a compe or...of course he's going to defend his game.
Your hangin' is waitin', fartface. Waitin' tomorrow nite.
Gonna party. Gonna party likes it's 1999.
stay in character, otherwise your trolling loses all of its appeal.
Ha! The Hawks=doormat to the league.
Culburn eh.
Dont matter, Durant & Westbrook can avg 30 pts a game each & they wont win..Whose gonna score the other 30-40 on their team?
IDK man, if we were playing the Thunder, I don't think I'd want to rile up Durant too much, I think he's at the point where he can win a game on his own like DWade or Kobe can
Testify, dizzle, TESTIFY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Artest defended him well in terms of not letting him get to his spots....that said, Durant did miss shots he'd normally make (short-armed the out of quite a few). Guessing it was playoff nerves that Westbrook obviously showed no signs of. Hopefully for them he settles down a bit.
really? oklahoma decides to make their free throws, gasol doesn't get that bull call and we're talking about a 2 or 3 point game. @ staples AGAINST the 8 seed. you can be as y as you want, let these kids get themselves together and focused and this is suddenly a series. don't kid yourself. and remember, you're supposed to be the favorites here, not the other way around.
Phil layin' his pants on his ankles and Artest takin' him to school shouldn't rile him.
Just beat his narrow ass like a rug.
Still suckin on those little peckers?

& see, Phil's got the refs where he wants 'em. They been callin' fair & square for a month, lettin' everybody beat on Kobe without a by your leave. No problem, now we all get to play that way.
You're goin' down tomorrow nite, Chris, goin' down hard, muttonhead.
IP recorded and will be reported for threat.
Won't stop the Celtics from whippin' that ass. Whippin' it good.
Kobe 6-19, Odom 4 pts, Artest 1-8 from three & still lead comfortably for 48 minutes. BTW this aint the east fool..8th seed in the west is better then 5 out of the 8 playoff teams in the east.
