ppl are still talking about home/away games in this series???

there is no such thing in this series.
    - cities are too close to each other, no travel
    - the players of both teams are comfortable in the opponent's arena

there is no home/away games in this series!!!

this is like 7 games in a neutral zone. anybody can win any game

Yeah no. They may be used to playing in each others arenas but you're going to tell me players like Jason Terry and Manu Ginobili who thrive off energy don't feed off of the crowd?

Agree, however Manu feeds from the opponents crowd… I’m certain the booohhs turn him on.

Lol explain 20 more FT attempts...
20 more attempts isn't the issue, the issue is 20 more attempts for a team that was shooting jumpers.

Great game and we're in for a long hard fought series. Over the years these two teams have produced many a memerable game. This series will be no different.

We'll see which team makes the neccessary adjustments for game 3.

The Mavs fans dislike Salvatore as much as Spurs fans dislike Crawford but he was actually beneficial for them in game 1. When/IF Joey shows up in this seires maybe we get the same treatment.
Joey only shows up for pivotal games. So if it's a must win for the Spurs, he'll be there. Book it.

I like the fact that the Mavs are not in panic mode. I like that they feel they can win on the road. I like that they are going to stay in the same mental state that gave them a loss in game 2. Just stay in your Pedro Cerrano (Major League) meditation mode. All is right with the world................
Yea, because its a great idea to get into panic mode. I bet you havent played organized sports in your life. They're staying calm because they know that the game 2 shooting percentage for the spurs and the way that the ball bounced in your favor is a joke and a fluke.

explain the spurs getting in the bonus the first 5 minutes of the game. I could cry about make up calls if i wanted to. Get the fcuk over it. Series tied at 1. Man up and stop complaining about stupid . Talk about the adjustments you need to make to stay in control. Or talk about how you will stop dirk. Or talk about how you can get consisten effort from Jefferson. Talk about something of substance. Your team and fans are the biggest babies in the game. Everybody knows it.

Manu has a severe fetish for opponents crowd booohhhhing at him. That turns him on more than anything else.

The game two shooting percentage (48.2) for SA was about the same as the game one shooting percentage (50.0). Are we on to multi-game flukage here, or is Dallas's defense just really poor?

It's actually simple math. When you get a 20 FT advantage, you win by 6. Subtract those 20 attempts, and you lose by 14, an EXACT 20 point swing. The Spurs offensive efficiency didn't substantially change between the two games.

The Mavs scored 23 points off turnovers, and had 20 more FT attempts - and they only won by 6. If I were a Mavs fan - I'd be worried. Game two was called more evenly, and look what happened. If the Spurs hadn't missed so many freethrows, that game would've been a blowout much earlier.

Oh - and BOTH Duncan and Dirk were on the bench early with 2 fouls - so you can't say the Spurs got make-up calls.

The Spurs weren't shooting jumpers, they were going into the paint, which I'll tell you they should have been doing more in game 1. There's a big difference between those fouls and touch fouls, and in some cases in game one, no-touch fouls.

I could cry about make up calls if i wanted to.
Of course you could; you're an ignorant Mav fan.

Get the fcuk over it. Series tied at 1. Man up and stop complaining about stupid .
The only person complaining here is you. The Mavs got a buttload of calls in game one, which you should be thrilled about because in retrospect it helped Dallas avoid being in a 0-2 hole.

Talk about the adjustments you need to make to stay in control. Or talk about how you will stop dirk. Or talk about how you can get consisten effort from Jefferson. Talk about something of substance. Your team and fans are the biggest babies in the game. Everybody knows it.
I often talk about those things in the appropriate threads. This particular thread started with an article by a Dallas paper about how the Mavs suddenly couldn't get two games in a row where each and every call was in their favor, and somehow blaming the coach of the Spurs for it because he pointed out, when asked, how much Dirk flops for calls. I was attempting to correct a Spurs fan who quoted the falacy that the number of free throw attempts is a way to measure how a game is officiated.

You can add Manu's second foul on Terry near the end of the first which pretty much shifted the balance to the Mav's favour. A very touchy foul ofcourse but over-all i liked how the game was called.

Glad to see Pop pointing out what many here were seeing. Aside from in-game complaining he rarely if at all says anything publicly about how a game gets called or a player gets to the line. When he does, you have to take notice.
