Yeah, remember this is still a series. Everyone are jumping in joy..if the Mavs split the next this all tied up and heading to Dallas...
as great as these last 2 wins have been, they are both over and done with and dont mean if dallas wins the next game.
as high as spirits are now, if they take game 4, all the momentum is with them, and we have to win 2 with 2 of 3 being in dallas.
forget what happened tonight.
its all about what happens now in game 4...that is where the series will be won or lost.

uhhh, no....?
yeah winning this game ment nothing![]()
EVERY time these two teams have ever met, the winner of game THREE wins the series.
That's sort of how the series goes. . . win or lose. It's always the next game.
Yep, good win but it ain't over yet.....not by a longshot!
But just for now, I'm going to enjoy tonight's win though tempered by Manu's fracture.
Hope he can play some on Sunday.....
if they take game 4 then this win = nothing. start over best of 3 with 2 being in dallas.
Enjoy the win for the rest of the evening guys but heed Manu's advice to stay humble.. Spurs can put a stranglehold on the Mavs by winning Game 4 but expect a war.
it's the spurs players' job to stay humble. it's the fans job to enjoy the wins.
oh stop, same thing can be said in a game 7. its the best of 1!
One thing to be concerned about despite the win...
The Spurs pretty much played a 7-man rotation this game, with the 7th man (Bonner) playing less than 15 mins. While they can get away with this in the Finals (as seen in 2005), I'd rather Pop not have to resort to this so early in the playoffs.
The bench players not named Parker have to step up more.
Dallas also played a small rotation and they're old too.
im telling you, winner of game 4 wins this series. its that important
winning a game gives you braggin rights, winnin a series also
losing a game allows clowns on here to start threads to fire pop trade parker etc,![]()
Look....I don't think we are going to win the NBA Championship, but I want to get out of the first round. We need to lay it on the line in Game 4. If we win, the Mavs will fold and we can worry about the next round at that point.
If we were to make a run, it looks like it would be Dallas, Phoenix, Lakers, Cavs.
GD, that is rough.
Cuban will be in Rick's ear about playing his new guys, I expect everything and the kitchen sink to be thrown towards the Spurs in Game 4. There's no slack in the rope if they lose that one.
You don't have a choice when Bonner/Blair don't give you solid minutes, Pop is forced to play Tim more than usual but that's what all the rest in the regular season was for too.
Bonner is stinking, but Blair's reb/40 number for this series is 19. He's definitely hitting the boards, and I look for his time to increase if Bonner continues to grip. I think Pop only gave Matt 14 minutes because he was looking for SOMEONE to hit a damn three pointer.
Well if it's a choice I'd rather have Blair out there if Bonner is not hitting anything from the 3. It's sad that the Red Rocket is getting some good looks but he's not knocking them down, plus he let Marion go offthat blew my ing mind!
