I'm glad the Blazers won. I don't really have a favorite between these teams, but I feel bad for Portland this year with all the injuries - so I'm glad they've made a series of this.

Yes. Assists are a stat, just like points. Allen Iverson did things to pad his point total. Nash does things to pad his assist total. Same concept.

To sum up ...you hate him because he's having a bad game? Because aside from his bad defense (which is team trait for all suns anyway), he's not selfish and not turnover prone (he's 22nd during these playoffs) for all I know.
