I agree, but those wide open threes are a result of some combination of Duncan in the post / dribble penetration / good passing which has broken down the defense. Too many times this season the Spurs have settled for threes or drawn up plays with the sole purpose of getting the outside shot attempt. Would I like to see them go in? Sure. But I'd much rather see the team not have to rely on them. If the Spurs had gone 0-21 on three point attempts they'd have lost by 25.

We really don't have many great outside shooters. Our best is Bonner or maybe Ginobili. Which is a major departure from Spurs teams of years past. We usually have some really good role players with sick 3pt range. B-Barry, Horry, Finley, Mason Jr.(not anymore) S-jax was good from outside, jaren jackson, etc. I've come to realize we haven't had a point that's been good at three's really at all since I've been following the Spurs circa early 90's. Am I remembering correctly?

I don't dispute that at all. In fact Im with you in that it was awesome they only shot 7. On the other side, making a couple might have broken that 2-3 zone the mags were doing in the third. Hopefully Manu Georgie can make their threes today...
