I just read through the thread and am confused as to why the beginning posts were edited by gay abc. If it wasn't for flo I wouldn't have any idea how amazing the kitchen is. That's so what I want. I'm not a big fan of the standard light cabinets and the other white crap. So I love it.

Very nice, though. I, for one, like the backsplash. Especially the smaller tiles behind the sink (also glass?). The granite is nice, too, and the color of the wood floors, but I wouldn't have gone with either. I don't like wood in a kitchen and am thoroughly over granite. In my opinion (which is just opinion and not meant to take away from what I think is a lovely remodel), cork floors, poured concrete countertops, and more light in the sink area would make the whole thing perfection.

I've been watching HGTV like mad lately and it's making me wish I had something to remodel. I've recently fallen in love with ruby red CaesarStone for a kitchen counter:
