The only reason why people won't think of it as a choke is because the Mavs have choked MUCH harder in past years that it makes this loss look acceptable. Y'all had a 15 point lead in this game and were the clear favorites to win this series. Duncan only scored 4 points and y'all still couldn't pull out a victory in a must win.....BTW that 11 point 3rd quarter was the definition of choking...as was Dirk's horrible 4th quarter.

As for being thankful Hakeem played his career here. WTF kinda smack is that.Who wouldn't be thankful a player of that caliber played pretty much their entire career for their city. Hey bud there isn't a week that goes by where I'm not thankful about being able to watch the great Hakeem Olajuwon play and represent my city.

I really thought this was an upset. Spurs were the underdog despite many non-spur posters favoring the mavs in here (except for a few mav fans, props to them). I was skeptical about this team chances in this series, but this is a heated rivalry and any team can win on any given day. I won't celebrate until the Spurs win the next game cause Dallas isn't going to lay down for us on their home court next game.

You can't say the Mavs are choking, Spurs are just playing better. While the Spurs were the 7th seed, they're not really a 7th seed team. This series is more like something that should be played in the second round.
