When you can't hit the broad side of a barn, I hate to tell you this......but it's a bad shot. It was a bad shot last year in the playoffs and it's a bad shot this year.
Teams give him that shot, because he isn't making it. He needs to stop taking it and work his way into the paint where he can overpower who ever is guarding him. Right now he's just playing into the other team's hand. THEY WANT HIM TO THROW UP THAT BRICK.
He's doing exactly what he did here in Houston.
He's not playing in the paint because Phil doesn't want him there. Phil wants him on the perimeter so everyone else on the team can post up. Everything he's taken has been by design, horrible as its been. Its not his fault. Stop letting your hate for Artest cloud your mind.
Umm, I don't hate Artest.....he was very entertaining here and the most colorful player we had in years. I'm just speaking the truth about his game. He stalls out the offense and takes bad shots and if it's true about your coach wanting him to clank those threes and poor shots then Phil needs to pull his head out of his ass. Clearly he should be able to find a better shot option than a Artest clanked 3 pointer.
I agree. But then again, I have always thought Jackson was overrated as a coach and this season is a pretty good example.
