Michael Finley. If he hadn't left, don't know if we would have stood a chance against the Mavs so thanks Michael, thanks for leaving, we can finally beat the Mavs

Finley would probably be taking minutes away from Manu, Parker, Hill and Jefferson, so yeah, I kind of agree.

Hey, man, Finley contributed a good deal to the Spurs success during his time. Show some respect.

I hate to be a ....hater...but yeh I kinda agree. Spurs were finally able to get a solid lineup after they got rid of Finley, and Hill was able to take these minutes.

I think the thing is ...Hill and RJ don't fit well with Finley; so lineup-wise it was a nightmare because Finley really isn't a starter anymore.

It's no disrespect to Finley he's a solid backup at this point in his career as a spot up shooter; he just no longer fit in San Antonio.

Yeah but would you even want to risk Pop putting him in there even for a couple of minutes?

    You never know with Pop.

You don't but, damn, Mason doesn't see minute 1.

Bogans only saw what, 5 minutes in the last 3 games?

    Funny because it's true.

And T_Parkle stop, just stop. We are still seeing much too much of the third member of Pops love triangle, that being BonBon and his continued 21% shooting. No question Popped continues to play Finley large minutes if their marriage/affair had continued.

I don't like saying it but I did feel he didn't fulfill his part this season, I was relieved to see him go but I'm still grateful for his good years.

Are you going to rag about Malik Rose being gone too?, Ratliff? or whoever? Finley was a great Spur, a gentleman but he's gone. He's been gone. And I'll take and respect the way Pop does things over this asinine waste of time.

Finley hate threads in the middle of the PO's!?!?

    good grief

He's gone so I think it's about time for everyone to just let it go. He knew his PT was going into the toilet and wanted out so he can play. The Finley experiment was over and anyone that thinks that Pop was going to reinsert him into the lineup for any significant minutes is just plain idiotic. Pop may be stubborn to a fault but he isn't stupid. It was painfully obvious that Finley had lost a tep or two and was toast.

I for one thought that he over stayed his welcome. Damn that player option for his last year but the Spurs did give him a year on top of that IIRC. But when he first came here he was a very good role player and actually won some games for us. By mid '08 he was starting to show his age and the concerns began. Enough.

Let's concentrate on what is ahead of us rather than looking back to the past. This could be a very exciting and rewarding ride for the Spurs. They are peaking at the right time and the D that we've all come to know from their championship runs is returning.
