OK. Thought I heard another name than that. My bad.
Wow what a legacy... Give up 756 to Bonds and lose your radio gig bc you posted BS comments on Twitter after a mavs playoff loss![]()
OK. Thought I heard another name than that. My bad.
Yeah, I don't think they're gonna mention it.
LOL @ these Mav-fan callers complaining to Norm about the refs.
http://twitter.com/MikeBacsik/statuses/12888819230
"I'm sorry for my horriblly insinsitive tweet last night about the hispanic comm. in San Antonio. I apoligize and I hope u can forgive me."
Who is the host right now on 1310 Dallas?
He's not a Homer by any means and is right on just about everything.
or "I want to keep my job."
OMG check it now![]()
wow...seems a little insincere.
Since he works for a radio station, he should address a public apology via radio.
(FYI: Mavs Fans on 1310 are really, not all that smart. One caller blaming the Refs. Mavs Fans here are at least KNOWLEDGEABLE in basketball. And are man/woman enough to admit with they've lost.)
Time to let it go. Sure it was insensitive and sure he is catching some heat. But he was drunk, trying to be funny, and writing in a moment of anger and disappointment on the suckiness of the Mavs. His reputation is forever damaged, but who among us has not said or done something stupid that we wish we could take back. Most of us are fortunate that we didn't work in the media and have this broadcasted throughout the entire nation. That embarassment is punishment enough.

Now, which of you geniuses did that?
In case somebody edits it:
wikipedia:
"It was first speculated that Sequ from Spurstalk.com hacked into Mr. Bacsik's Twitter account to make these derrogatory remarks, but after initial investigation it was determined that Sequ had an air tight alibi. Apparently, he misplaced his booster seat and couldn't reach his keyboard."
Yeah Norm is usually pretty good. He had a good point about complaining about officiating the last 3 games would mean admitting the refs gave the mavs game 1.
His reputation was forever damaged when he spoon fed the biggest record in MLB to that roid freak. This is just icing on the caca cake.
Norm Hitzkus (not sure about the spelling), but, yeah, he's not the most entertaining host, but he is one of the most knowledgable.
A has been that somehow thinks he is relevent.
From Wiki:
He is particularly notable for giving up Barry Bonds' 756th career home run, which broke the all-time record formerly held by Hank Aaron
no, If i said that at my job I would be fired so fast I couldnt even apologize. that racist prick.
Is he still drunk or just a really bad speller? insinsitive? apoligize? Oy.![]()
Just a Mav fan...
He wasn't at work when he made those comments.
when you work in the media, anything public you write is part of your work
When your job is a public "personality" - everything you do for public consumption is at work.
Drunk or not (he was), trying to be funny or not (he wasn't, he was just pissed), I have no sympathy for people who dig their own graves to that extent then feel regret the next day.
It'll be the racial comment that gets him canned, but he was acting like a 4 year old well before that point.
Rehab needs to be in his immediate future.
