The more minutes Najera takes away from Dampier/Haywood, the better![]()
hes irrelevant just like the mavs
It will be more inspiring and uplifting than Jet's return from suspension after punching Finley in the nutz.
The things they get off on.
If I were the Mavs I'd put him on the court just to see if a Spurs player takes a shot at him.
Probably wouldn't happen, but it might get them a couple of cheap free throws.
I'm pretty sure Manu will be fired up if he gets into the game when hes in there. he will be in attack mode
This is good. Not because I think playing Najera will help the Spurs but because I dont want the league over reacting and trying to take the physical play out of the game. If the league over reacts and babysits Dirk like in 06 then this hurts the Spurs. We haven't been dirty with Dirk but outside game one we've been allowed to play playoff defense.
The physical play has made the series better. I'm glad stern hasn't tried to remove the one aspect that has made the series interesting to the casual fan.
what game 6? this thing is over tomorrow!
I know his kind. Every pick up game has one. That guy who doesn't have much skill but plays hard and fast with no finesse and ends up hurting someone every time he plays. You want him on your team.
Najera was just pissed about the Arizona Law, give him a break.
Well I'm afraid of 2 things:
- that he would hurt a Spurs player, since he got a pass this time why not try again
- that he's going to make another foul like this, players will get off our bench in outrage and be suspended... if you noticed when Pop rushed after the foul on Manu after half a sec he turned back and told the bench to stay where they were. That could change the outlook of the series if a few key players are suspended for Game 6.
Najera won't be suspended for choking Manu while Tim was suspended once for making contact or shall we say holding Jack Nies once. Great.
the NBA is truly amazing.
But I'm not really sure if it is good to beat a depleted Mavs team.. It is better if they're complete.
We don't want alibis.
lol Najera shooting Rodman shots.
he tried a juwon howard on us, im sure some is going to happen as the series go on...
I don't think Ian has it in him. Put Bogans on the job. If he gets suspended, everybody wins.
I thought it was suspension worthy, but oh well. It's only Najera.
Im ok with the decision........ If he Plays the NBA, and refs will have him under a fine Microscope.... if he looks at one of our players wrong we will get a call.... My bet is he doesnt even play.....
I prefer him to suit up, so cool news.
Manu will go ballistic on the Mavs now.
fuel for our fire! let him punk ass play!
I can already see Manu’s and 1 on him 5 sec after the scrub gets on the floor…… this is certainly good news, this guy is contributing to the cause significantly more than Mason, Bonner and the Centerpiece combined.
I doubt that he plays and if he does I doubt he tries anything like that again.
However, if he does play and tries to hurt somebody, I think the attention would shift to Carlisle and Cuban. I can accept the explanation that Najera was acting on his own the first time, but you would have to think he was simply following orders if it happened again.
That has NEVER been the Spurs way (at least since Popovich). You don't thug up, you don't retaliate, you play basketball. Winning is the best revenge.
In fact, Popovich pulled Blair over after the Dirk tech and reamed him out for getting involved in chippiness.
So let me get this straight and please correct me if my memory is a little off.
Robert Horry was suspended for one playoff game in 2007 for bumping Steve Nash's hip at center court yet Najera gets off without as much as a slap on the wrist for clotheslining Manu Ginobili as he went up for a layup?
Am I getting it?
fify. Otherwise, yes.
