hair bands?
So a couple weeks back I heard the new format on 106.7fm at some shop, so I put it on in my car and have listened during some short car trips. It's okay. But their tag line is something like "World Class Rock--no silly pop, disco or wimpy chick rock".
What is "chick rock"? Examples please![]()
hair bands?
Creed, Nickelback, all of the above.

Journey, every college chick thinks their songs were written specifically for them 25 years ago.
Savage Garden, every middle-aged woman's fantasy gay dude that switch hits just for them.
chick rock =
evanescence
coldplay
avril lavigne
I always thought of Chick Rock as 80's glam metal and Bon Jovi.
So every one huh?
The glam hair bands and Bon Jovi make sense. But it's funny that I've only ever known guys who listen to Coldplay, Creed or Nickelback.
See that's why I wondered about it. It would seem like a not too sharp marketing ploy to declare "we won't play music that women like" , so I figured they must be referring to a certain genre of music.
that station is full of , they play Rob ing thomas
I thought it was more like Ke$ha or Gwen Stefani
I thought it would be like the go-go's , bangles, Joan Jett, Pat Benetar and other chick bands.
All of the above plus the trendy emo pop rock one hit wonders.
Did you steal my ipod?
Well yeahhh......don't tell me you're an outlier that can resist this overproduced and undersung classic!
"Ooo, I want you, I don't know if I need you" - the lyrics explain themselves. Subconsciously, he's feeding all your wildest switch-hitter fantasies! Don't make me break down every line for you. >.<
^ brings back memories of the skating rink. thanks.
I've never heard that song!! But are these the same guys who sing the one that goes "I loved you before I met you"? I saw them on Rosie O'Donnell's show a few years back and I thought she was gonna devour them right there. A real switch-hit!
Bon Jovi
Poison
White Snake
Creed
Nickleback
Basically, anything rock that sucks that isn't metal.
