Yeah, this has all the characteristics and look of an absolute blowout. The Spurs have one of these games every playoff run. It's frustrating.
The Spurs don't look serious on the court, it's almost as if they don't expect to win. Mason, Bonner, Blair late in the first when you're down? Pop just let Blair get 4 fouls early in the second...
This is weird..

I kind of think it's on purpose though, I think pop's throwing the game.
We'll know for certain that Pop is half-assing it if he trots out the Bonner/Mason/Bogans lineup.
Well it looks like we'll be playing game 6 here. I don't like that one bit because anything can happen in that game. They were close the last game and if George Hill doesn't go off we lose. If Pop's doing that, he's playing with fire. I don't want to give the Mavs any hope.
Duncan looked good early then he yanks him and leaves Blair in there to pick up 4 fouls? Then brings out Mason twice?
i see almost an exact repeat of game 4. and first half game 4 i was pretty negative, so im gonna stick with this game. we got this
Yeah I get the feeling that Pop is trying to give the Spurs a sense of urgency for game 6... but why to not at least TRY to win this game?
If we get it to single digits before the half AKA the players prove to Pop that they want to win despite his efforts to tank the game...I predict we will not see bogans/mason at all in the second half and Pop will let the Spurs win.
Bonner will be the centerpiece in the second half, regardless, as Blair has 4 fouls already. That was an odd decision, right guys?
blew me away son. guess i wasnt paying attention and then BAM 4 fouls. strange decision but CIA pop must not want him for the 2nd half
It's all about TO and off rebounds, that's their lead.
LMAO playing Mason for extended minutes.
and letting Blair foul out in the 1st half.
good job Pop.....
i see a dramatic turnaround after that 2nd qtr finish
Pop is trying to win this game, he knows he can't over extend Manu, Duncan, Dice, and Parker so he has to trot those lineups at times. Those guys just need to f'n produce something.
I'm disappointed in Hill so far tonight, he needs to assert himself and get on track. Especially in those lineups he needs to be the boss.
They're playing with fire.
This is how a team comes back from down 1-3. Dallas is perfectly capable of doing just that and the 2010 Spurs are perfectly capable of failing to do all of the things that a team must do to close out a series.
I have a terrible sense of dread that momentum has shifted, and perhaps irreversibly so.
Mahinmi coming in!? Definitely throwing the game
I can't believe this. Is it not the playoffs? Ginobili, Parker, Duncan all out!
Why?
When 2 teams are pretty evenly matched and there is a 3-1 lead like this, it usually goes this way for the road team. Just how it usually happens.. They have to man up for a big game 6 at home..
Ians in Pop's done.
This ing team thinks they have game 6 in the bag. What happens if the refs screw them out of a game, then it's game 7 in Dallas and it can go either way. Jesus... I'am so angry right now.
They won't come into SA and pound us, it will be up to the Spurs to win another close game. Up 3-1 this is what usually happens when close games have gone the way they have. Dallas is at home do or die. They usually live another day in those spots..
This is the last game in Dallas this season.
Agreed all the way around. But if the Spurs somehow don't execute perfectly in Game 6, they become a realistic candidate to join the Shame Roll of teams that gave up 3-1 leads.
The Mavs are more than good enough to live another day in Game 6, too.
And I'll admit to having little faith that this Spurs team could gut out a Game 7 win in Dallas.
I agree to be honest, 3 bad games in a row from Tim/Manu I just don't see it.
Spurs just mailed this one in.
