great game tonight, too bad butler cant play like this every night
Great ball movement, energy, and defense from the boys in blue. Where was this Butler games 2-4?
to Carlisle starting Haywood, and seemingly eliminating Dampier from the rotation.
Not saying Haywood was all the difference, but why did it take 4 games to do this?
Surprisingly the Mavs are almost doubling up the Spurs in the points in the paint battle. Mavs were very aggressive getting tot he rim tonight
There is just no quit in these boys in blue. If we were the gutless quitters some suggest, we could've laid down tonight. But as Matrix said, the fat lady aint here yet
Onto Game 6 for these men in blue. I doubt we can replicate the play/tempo of this game but we must not forget how close we were to winning games 3 and 4. Anythings possible

Mavs need to maintain this level of energy, intensity and willingness to attack the basket on Thursday night. They won't get as many calls from the refs on the road, but they can't let that deter them. Keep this rotation and starting lineup, and pack the lane on the Spurs guards and force them to hit their jumpers. We'll see what happens.

Seriously, isn't it obvious that we tanked? We know Game 6 is in the bag and no matter how hard we play, we ain't going to win in your building. Props to the Mavs for playing like the desperate s that they are.
I thought it mighta been about det one time 15 years ago where they won 2 championships.

I expect the Spurs to play better in Game 6, but to say they didn't even want to win this game is lame.

I don't know what the happened to the Spurs. Noone was moving at all on offense or defense. Glad that the Mavs curbstomped the Spurs. Maybe this will make them pull their collective heads out of their asses.
Just so we are clear, none of us will be playing in game 6 of the Spurs-Mavs series. And none of us have won any NBA championships.
Spurs didn't match the Mavs energy or intensity. They will play harder in their building in front of their fans on Thursday. Mavs just need to play the way they did tonight, be aggressive and attack the basket. We'll see what happens. It should go down to the wire.
When you see Mason on the floor for the Spurs, you know POP wants to tank it. Still, the Mavs are just delaying the inevitable and by game 6, you're going to join the Heat for a looooong vacation.
