That kid is going to be a STUD. I saw most of the game today and he looks like a vet out there. It is really hard to believe he is on 20.
first of all, how the is he only 20 years old?
second of all...the National League is going to have their hands full.

He jumped on that pitch from Big Z like a monster. WoW. Very impressive youngster.
It makes my stomach hurt that he's a Brave. Worthless ing Braves. My hatred for them is only second to the Yankees.
I don't mind the Braves too much. I have to be somewhat accepting of them since I married a Braves fan.
The kid is an absolute beast.
Wait about 5 years. He'll probably be a Yankee by then.![]()
Didn't see the whole game, but watched the first few innings. The way he turned around on that pitch was ridiculous. Insane bat speed through the zone. Hope he avoids the injury bug.
in my salary cap fantasy league he's already worth 20M
First AB of his MLB career and he straight up crushed that ball....that kid is going to be a BEAST.
What do you guys think his potential is? Is he more of a Pujols or more of a Ryan Howard?
I see him more as a Griffey in his prime. He seems to play very well in the outfield. Pujols and Howard don't have the athleticism to play outfield.
I like this kid a lot too, but the media love-fest for him after only two games is unbelievable.
Still, he does seem to have the talent to be among the group of young players (J. Upton, Longoria, Lince , etc.) that will carry the MLB through this decade.
I was thinking Junior too from the little I've seen from him. Man, if he could be another Griffey without the injuries, then he has a chance to be something really, really special. Does he have an arm in the outfield too?
The first time I saw him at the plate he immediately reminded me of Dave Parker. Not the overweight, cokehead version, but the mid-70's Parker. He creates the same intimidating presence in the batter's box and he hits the ball just as hard as Parker did in his early days.
so far it looks like the league has figure him out
Not so much last night.
he hit a homer after the giants had already sealed the deal in the 9th... big whoop
The kid has slowed down a bit, but he's still on pace for over 30 homers and 120 RBI. If he does it as a rookie, he's in Pujols territory.
He's not going to do that
yes mister no it all!
Friend of mine in the Atlanta area said they're calling him the J-hey kid. Where is Corso when you need him?
Nevertheless, he's an impressive rookie.
Thru his first 46 games:
HR: 10
RBI: 38
BA: .301
OBP: .421
SLG: .596
OPS: 1.017
20 years old.
