I don't watch a lot of hockey, but I think it's because a hot goalie can essentially decide the series. It seems that's what happened to the Caps. In addition to them being stinking choking dogs, of course.

I normally don't advocate the dismissal of coaches, because I get sick of musical chairs, but a couple summers ago when the Hawks were bandying about the idea of firing Woodson, they should have. I didn't watch ATL this year, but the Hawks should have been legit a couple years earlier than they were and they shouldn't be losing this series.
Like I said, I haven't watched this year, but I know from years past that the guy can't coach. They win in spite of Mike Woodson.

The Dallas Carlisle's are the dumbest team.
I've been screaming for two years that Woodson is not a good coach. The Hawks offense amounts to players taking turns creating their own shots. They've made the Playoffs on the sum of their individual talents alone, but Woodson has not groomed any of them to become better players or developed a system to maximize the potential of their combined talents.

Of course you could say the exact same thing about the Nuggets. And at least the Hawks try to play some defense.
Let's give a vote to the Mavericks by doing the exact OPPOSITE so far of what they did in Game 5. Settling for jumper after jumper instead of driving the lane and attacking the basket.
